The End of You and I and the Beginning of Us.

Alyssa's POV:

"Now I know you all came to hear about how amazing everything turned out and I guess I can tell you how it ended for now. Shawn and Alyssa lived in two different worlds and millions of miles away but their love was stronger than anything they could ever even imagine-"
"but how do they live happily ever after?" a little girl asked.
I sat back in my chair and looked at the kids around me.
"I can't really describe to you how it feels to love someone that much, but all I can tell you now is that when you love someone like that; you would do anything to be together. Even if you're a million miles away." I told them.
The kingdom children listened carefully as I told them the story of my life with meeting Shawn. It was a story I told often.
"So does Shawn and Alyssa ever live together?" She asked again.
"I guess we'll just have to see." I smiled back at her.

(a few weeks later)

"Okay okay, and you have everything you need?" My mom asked for the hundredth time.
"Yes mom, I promise." I laughed as I reassured her.
She sighed and hugged me again. I know it was hard on her with me leaving again but my heart told me I needed to be in Canada. Choosing to finish my senior year there now with everyone knowing who I am was a hard choice but I knew with the people around me that I loved; I would be fine.
"Okay. Now you should go before you miss your flight." My mom said as she wiped another tear away.
"Don't worry mom, I'll be home in 3 months. I love you." I told her with a smile.
She nodded and picked up my suitcase handing it to me. She hugged me again. I knew it was gonna be hard for her without my father again. We haven't gotten use to life without him yet. 6 months. I guess it will take a lifetime to try and forget that someone so special is gone.

I gave my mom one last hug before I got on the plane.

Canada here I come.

As I landed I couldn't help but to think about Shawn waiting for me as I got off. I hurried to grab my bags and find him in the crowded airport. I finally spotted him and ran into his arms. He smelled like lavender just like the first time I met him and it made me smile all over again. We pulled away but I never stopped smiling.
"I have something to show you." He said.
I looked at him confused and laughed.
"Oh no, what did you do." I laughed again.
"I didn't do anything, he did it himself." He said pointing behind me.
I turned around to be faced with the face I had waited a long time to see again. His eyes were bright and his face was rosy like it always was. His smile was wide as he cried of happiness. My heart thumped in my chest as I didn't have any words to say. My knees felt weak as tears flowed from my eyes.
"Dad," was all I could manage to get out before I collapsed in his arms.
I held him for what felt like forever not ever wanting to let go. I had so many questions for him. I needed to have the answers.
When we pulled away I looked into his matching eyes to mine and smiled.
"I knew you couldn't leave yet," I whispered.
"I could never leave you." He whispered back.
I hugged him again and smiled into his shoulder.
"Seems like I should get back to the kingdom huh?" He chuckled.
I pulled away again and laughed.
"I think mom needs you." I laughed again.
"Well I think I'm the one who always needed her," he smiled.
I laughed and watched my dad smile never wanting to forget it.
"Now what do you do now that your secret is out Princess?" He smirked.
"I think I love who I am no matter where I decide to go." I said looking back at the people who loved me.
He smiled again, "that's my girl."

"But hey I liked the whole 'secret royalty' thing. Its got a ring to it." I laughed.

So I guess I did live happily ever after. Sometimes you have to do things even if it's scary to find who you really are.
