Hi there beautiful people! :) how'd you like the first part that I posted? I hope it didn't bore you. And I know Ashley's NOT the main female character. But, you're gonna see more of Ashley on the infancy of the story. She's an important character, I swear. Enjoy reading! :)
P.s. Yeah, it's too early to tell if you already like my story. But, if you feel like it, please do COMMENT and VOTE. Thanks in advance! :)

We stopped by our lockers and walked to our classes. I have most of my subjects together with Effie, had few with Jared and Flint, but unfortunately, none with Mattie. Mattie's taking up all advance subjects, that's why.
As Effie and I walked into our english class, I noticed the unfamiliar face already, but quickly brushed it off since she's not much of a competition at first look anyway if you'd ask me. The teacher's not here yet, so Effie and I decided to snap a few selfies for our first-day-of-classes entry to be posted later on our SNS (Social Networking Site).
"No, Effie, stop with the duck Face already! C'mon, pose with me." I told her.
"Well. Sorry, skinny bitch! It's totally my angle and it kinda makes my face appear thinner." She retorted. And quickly faced my phone to pose with me.
And as if on cue, the bell rang as our teacher walked into the door.
"Well, hello children of Hawthorne high! How was your summer break? By the way, I'm Mrs. Isabelle Crompton. But you can call me Ms. Belly, but I'm kidding. Call me Ms. Bella, please. Calling me Mrs. Crompton makes me feel like I'm a hundred and twenty-one. Alright, so much for a high-energy starter. Let me warn you guys. I'm a bit serious in dicussing leasons, I don't like seeing phones during lecture, and no, chit chats with your friends are never welcome when I discuss. If you're late, I'm gonna be your nightmare for the rest of the period. Chewing gums during my class is a big no-no. Okay, now. Please pass on the handouts quietly, thank you."
I scrunched my nose and on minimal movement, faced Effie and whispered to her. "What a weirdo. Can't wait for this class to be over."
"Yeah, what's up with the sudden up and down mood? Bipolar much?" She whispered back.
"Ehem! Excuse me children, before I forget. We have a new student here. Please do welcome Kelsey Fullerton. Come here at the front Ms. Kelsey. I know we're not in primary school but go on and give yourself an introduction." Ms. Bipolar-Bella said as she turned our attention to the new girl.
"Erm.. H-hi. I'm Kelsey Fullerton. I just transferred here as you can see. W-well... There's nothing much to tell about me, actually. Can I go back to my seat now Ms. Bella?" What a joke. Stage fright much? Is this the girl that Flint was talking about earlier? Not even wothy of the "new-student attention" from Hawthorne.
"As you please, Kelsey. Welcome to Hawthorne High." Said Ms. Bipolar-Bella, as the new girl was halfway back to her seat already.
The classes after our english went on smoothly. Met Mr. Walner, our math teacher, he discussed our course outline for the entire term. And Mr. Earnshaw for chem. and everything seemed to fast forward to our lunch.
I went straight to the loo with Effie to freshen up before we get to the cafeteria. While fixing her hair, Effie started mentioning the new girl.
"Noticed the new girl? What's wrong with her?"
"I-K-R? Have you seen her face while introducing herself? It's like she's gonna melt or something."
"Do you think anybody here would like her just because she's new?"
"Dunno, don't care. Let's go to lunch. I'm starving."
"Yeah, let's. Let me just powder my nose... Done. C'mon"
We went straight to our usual table at the cafeteria. Since Effie started getting busy on her phone, I plugged my earpods in, started slighly bobbing my head in Iggy Azalea's song, Fancy, while eating my salad.
I had a mini-heart-attack as I felt a sudden motion. Someone pulled the earpods off my ear and patted my back quite heavy.
"Hey there, pretty Ashley!"
"Oh, it's you, Mattie! You nearly killed me! What's with the Mr. Brightshine mood?"
"Nothing, Ash. You just seem... Did you lose weight? You definitely did."
"Ha-ha. Nice try, Matt. You saw me a couple of days ago. There can't be a huge change on how I look. What's up?"
"Fine. But, you really look stunning today. By the way, I saw that you're in the same class with the new chick."
I slightly punched Matt's shoulder. "Eww! She's just new. Not a chick. And since when did you notice girls in this school?" Looking at him suspiciously with my right eyebrow raised.
"It's no big deal, Ash. She's just cute." Mattie said with a little smile on his face.
Effie violently gasped. I eyed her as if non-verbally telling her to shut the hell up. (Effie knows how much I liked Matt. But she also know how much we need to keep it a secret, because we don't want things to be awkard around the guys since it's obvious that Matt sees me as anything but a potential girlfriend.)
Good thing, Matt hardly noticed Effie's reaction and we continued with our lunch, with Flint beside me, almost squeezing me on my seat as if there's no more available space on his other side.
The bell rang and the proceed with our classes. The classes were mostly just introductions and all. And I'm so glad to hear the dismissal bell rang. Oh sweet, sweet sound of the alarm!
As Effie and I approached our lockers, the boys were already there. And surprisingly, the new girl was there too. It just happened that her locker is between mine and Effie's. She got there early, and the boys were maybe just waiting for me and Effie to arrive.
I approached the new girl.
"Oh, Kelsey, Right? Looks like you already made friends."
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. But we're on the same class in english, chemistry, and art right? I... I just got here." She shyly looked down on her feet.
"I can see that you're a good observant."
I remarked, and faced Effie and gave her a flat smile.
Jared butted in "Thanks, Ashley. So... Your name's Kelsey, huh?" Jared put his one arm around my shoulder and continued.
"You know Ash, if you didn't arrive, I think we're not gonna get you friend's name. Right, Matt?" Jared gave Matt a smuggy smile.
"Yeah." Matt responded. Sounding a bit... shy? Is that really Matt?! I'm freaking out! And, woah, Jared. She's not my friend!
And after like 2 seconds, Kelsey spoke. "I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention earlier. I didn't notice that the guys were talking to me. Anyway, Ashley, right? I'm gonna get going. My mom's waiting for me at the parking lot. It was really nice talking to you..." She faced me and the guys one by one. "Ashley, Matt, Jared, and..." She questioningly looked at Effie and Flint.
"That's my bestfriend, Effie. And the guy's Flint." I told her with a flat tone and a hint of "we're-not-friends-okay?" kind of tone. The guys said it was also nice meeting her back and waved quick goodbye. Then the girl left.
I thought we are gonna head out to our usual chill spot after school but Matt said his little sister, Lana is waiting for him at home to share her first day stories to him. The guys also decided to just all go home. I suddenly felt exhausted for the day as well, so we all went home.
