I sat in my dressing room running over my lines before I had to go out and shoot. It was the last scene and I would finally be able to take a long-deserved break. I had invited Elena up to LA and I was planning on surprising her by going down to Mystic Falls. I hadn't been back since that monster Klaus had killed me. Since then I had simply focused on my career, knowing that Mystic Falls only had pain and death for me. Even still I was excited to go back, I missed my friends and my family. Although I was worried about seeing that Klaus guy. I had even asked my boyfriend, Sean, to come just in case. I didn't believe in monsters. vampires, witches, doppelgangers yes but, not monsters. And still I thought he was one, things weren't adding up.

"Iliana, you have a guest." My bodyguard had paged in.

"At my dressing room?" Even more things not adding up. "Is it Sean?"

"I'm sending him in." He had said. He wasn't supposed to do that. No guests allowed in without my say, that meant a vampire was here. I held my breath as the door opened and braced myself for who would be there. The door closed and there he stood before me. Klaus. The Original Vampire. The monster who had killed Isobel, Jenna and me.

"Iliana." He said in his annoyingly sexy British accent.

"Please stay away from me." It was then that my memories returned. Klaus. The man that I loved. The man that loved me. The man that had sent me away from my family. "I don't want you here."

"The compulsion hasn't retracted yet."

"No, it has!" I snapped. "I know exactly who you are and exactly what you did to me. You pulled me away from my family! And now you come every now and then to take my blood or get things off your chest when you need someone to talk to."

"Do you no longer want to be that person?" He asked me.

"Damnit Klaus, I want to be that person every day. I want to be with you every day. I want to stop being confused when people ask me about what I did in my dressing room. I want to be able to explain the gaps in my memory. But you don't care about what I want."

"I care only about what you want." He said as he pulled me towards him and caressed my hands. "But your safety has to take priority. If any harm came to you because of me, I would be devastated."

"My sanity comes first." I told him. "Do you know how badly I want to hate you? How much it breaks my heart because that's what I want?"

"Iliana—"

"Just don't." I said with a sigh as I sat down on the couch and gestured for him to join me. "So what's up?"

"My mother is back." I looked back at him in shock and finally noticed the worry that he wore on his face.

"The mother that you killed?" I asked him.

"The very one."

"Why? How? Do your siblings know you killed her?" I asked.

"She says she plans on reuniting our family, my siblings know what I've done, they are not impressed." He told me. I lay my head down on his lap and he stroked my hair, I couldn't help but wish that this was our normal, but Klaus didn't want that. And whether I liked it or not, Klaus was in control.

"So what are you gonna do? Don't say kill her again."

"I wasn't going to." He said with a chuckle. "Keeping that as Plan B."

"So paranoid." I muttered.

"Excuse me?" I rolled my eyes and sat up staring him directly in the eyes.

"You heard me." I said with a shrug. "P to the A to the R A NOID. Your mom has come back from the dead and wants to give you a second chance, and instead of just accepting it, you want to worm your way out of it! Did you ever think that maybe if you gave it a shot, you'd finally have a united family? Which is what you've wanted for so long."
