I started to run, so scared of her catching me. I kept running and running, trying to keep my breath until I couldn't anymore. I finally paused to catch my breath and in that instant, the darkness shrouded my eyes, taking over me.
"You're a monster." The voice said. It was so familiar and yet I couldn't place it. "You were going to kill your sister. In cold blood. You used your brother as leverage against your best friend. You let Damon be tortured by Rebekah. You don't want Klaus to have hybrids because it doesn't suit you. Not to mention the way you treat Elijah."
"Who are you?" I asked her. And like that I could see. I gasped as I saw her face. She was me. The exact same. Except one difference. Her eyes where filled with darkness. She was empty.
"I'm you. If you give into your dark tendencies." She said with a smirk. She lunged for me and with that I awoke sat up in my bed panting heavily.
"I need to get out of this town."
~Klaus POV~
"Well this is depressing, isn't it?" Klaus said as he walked into the cell where Alaric resided with Stefan watching over him. "Oh, and I found this here stake. By my calculations, that means there's only one left."
"It's gonna take a little time." Stefan said with a sigh.
"Why?" Klaus continued impatiently. "Because we're waiting for the Iliana-stabbing side of him to wake up? I'd rather just kill him."
"Along with any chance you have with Iliana." Stefan refuted. "Besides, when she staked Finn, we discovered that killing an Original vampire killed its entire bloodline. Now, I don't know which one of you I'm descended from, but I'd rather not find out by dying, so why don't we just find the stake, destroy it, so we can all be safe?"
"So, the fate of the entire vampire race depends on you finding a stake? And to get it we need you to pass out. Which means that I feel totally justified doing this." Klaus eyed the ring on Alaric's finger before rushing over to him and snapping his neck. "Aw, look at him. Sleeping like a baby."
~Iliana POV~
I arrived in New Orleans and immediately realised, I had no idea where I was going or what I was going to do. I parked me car on a street in the French Quarter and the minute I stepped out, I heard screams. But the screams I liked to hear.
"OMG OMG OMG MELODY STONE. MELODY STONE IS HERE." I felt my face break out into wide grin as a gaggle of people came up demanding autographs and photos.
"Anything for a fan."
~Elena POV~
Elena and Jeremy sat in the motel room they had fled into together. He watched TV and she looked through the luggage, desperately hoping that the woman who had sired Rose would come through for them.
"So what's up with you and Damon?" Jeremy asked, making her shoot up abruptly.
"What do you mean? Nothing's up." She answered quickly.
"Are you sure about that?" Jeremy said with a raised brow. "Cuz even Rose said something during our ghost reconvening."
"I'm sure she did." Elena said, rolling her eyes. "I don't wanna talk about it."
"How about you and Iliana?" Jeremy continued.
"Why do you ask?"
"Kol wasn't allowed to kill me, but he was allowed to kill you." Jeremy said, staring his sister down. "I kinda doubt Klaus suddenly grew a soft spot for me which means Iliana said he wasn't allowed to hurt me. But he was allowed to hurt you, so what happened?"
