~Rebekah POV~
Iliana: Hey Bekah, I'm leaving town, so I guess that means mi casa e su casa. Literally. Be good to it!
Rebekah weakly put down her phone and closed her eyes before slinking back onto the bed, only to notice April Young standing in the doorframe.
"Hey." The young girl said as she picked up the rubbish from the floor. "Way to ditch your own party."
"I just needed a minute." Rebekah said frailly. "Did everyone leave?"
"Yep." April said with a wry smile. "The deputies weren't actually super-happy about the anti-curfew party."
"Why are you still here?" Rebekah asked in surprise as she sat up fully on her bed.
"Honestly, picking up trash is a hell of a lot better than sitting at home alone thinking about the family you no longer have." The girl said sadly and Rebekah couldn't help but relate to her loneliness. She got up and walked to the girl with a comforting look on her face.
"Hey, uh, if you want, I could...I could help you look into what happened with the fire at your farmhouse." Rebekah suggested.
"What could you do that I can't?" April asked her sceptically.
"You'd be surprised." Rebekah said with a smile, which touched the young girl who gave her a smile in return.
~Klaus POV~
Klaus paced about in the hunter's trailer, examining the squalor the man had chosen to live in as he waited for him to wake up after being knocked unconscious during the blast of the hospital.
"You saved me." Connor said as he woke up. He tried to stand but instead Klaus pushed him back down.
"Congratulations, you just became with more to me alive than dead." Klaus told him.
"What did you mean earlier? When you said I was one of the Five?" The hunter asked him and Klaus rolled his eyes.
"You mean you don't know your own history?" Klaus scoffed at his ignorance before kneeling down beside him. "Let's just say it's made you the most well-protected vampire hunter in town."
~Iliana POV~
I drove in my Bentley to my sister's house and knocked on the door. I had all my stuff packed and within a few hours I would be out of this town. Leaving my old home for the place I had accepted as my new home.
"Hey." She said with a smile as she opened the door.
"Hey." I said with a sad smile.
"Are you coming in or...?"
"I'm leaving Elena." I blurted out and as I did her face fell.
"Oh."
"I know you've just become a vampire and you're scared but you'll pull through. You don't need me." I said with tears in my eyes. "You'll be fine on your own. And I say that but you aren't alone. You've got Caroline and Jeremy and Matt and Stefan and Damon. Even me. Because if you need me I'll be there."
"Is this because of Klaus because if it is—"
"No." I said shaking my head at her. "It's because I need to go. For my sanity. For my happiness. Mystic Falls, isn't for me anymore."
"You're definitely not compelled?" She asked.
"Definitely." I said with a chuckle.
"Okay then." She said with a sad smile as she pulled me in for a hug. "I'll get Jer."
"Jer can wait." I said with a smirk as I gave her my car keys.
"Liana, these are for your Bentley." Elena said her eyes widening. "You love that more than you love me!"
"I know." I said with a nervous smile. "I said you can drive it when you die. And unfortunately for both me and Felicity. You did."
"So I—" She didn't finish her sentence before speeding into the car. "COME ON! LET'S GO!"
I reluctantly walked into the driver's seat of my car before closing my eyes as my sister hit the accelerator and knew that even though this was the most normal thing I had done in a long time. I knew it wasn't the end of my craze in Mystic Falls.
~Klaus POV~
"Klaus, you know you can't be calling me." She said when she answered the phone with the reluctant smile. "Especially at this time of night."
"Hello to you too, Fiore." Klaus said with a somewhat saddened smile as his ex-wife spoke to him. "How have you been?"
"Great, seeing as you haven't been around to dagger my husband." She shot angrily at him. "Now can you tell me why you're calling?"
"The Five is back." He told her.
"How certain are you?" She asked somewhat worriedly.
"Completely." He told her.
"Klaus, they have to die." Fiore told him sternly. "They threaten to wake up Silas."
"Would that be such a bad thing?" Klaus asked her.
"Not for me." She replied. "But for everyone else in the known universe, yes."
"I need the cure." He told her. "Elena is a vampire."
"You don't need any more hybrids!" She seethed. "Nik, it's been over a thousand years and you're still fixated on these beasts when you have a real family that can love you. Not a fake one."
"It's not about the hybrids anymore." He told her determinedly.
"Is that so?" She asked sceptically.
"Elena is Iliana's sister. If I can cure her, then maybe—"
"She'll choose you over Elijah." Fiore finished for him with a sigh. "Klaus, you need to find another way to win her over. Because waking up Silas will not only wreak havoc on you, but me too. I'll have to change from Team Mikaelson to Team Silas. And you will not be able to handle an Immortal let alone an Enigma with him. He wants to get rid of the Other Side. I left him locked away because he's dangerous. Too dangerous."
"I'm willing to risk it." He told her. "For her, I am."
"Okay Klaus." Fiore said reluctantly. "I'll do what I can to reign him in. Both of them."
"Thank you." Klaus said, finally feeling at peace.
"And for the record, I'm happy you've found someone." She told him.
"Took me long enough."
"You're damn right." She said with a chuckle. "Although my money's still on Elijah."
"Thank you for ruining the nicest moment we've had in an entire millennium."
"You're welcome."
