~Fiore POV~

Hayley: The plan is falling apart. They wanna put Klaus in Rebekah's body

Fiore: Then you do everything you can to stop it. Take the body and tell Klaus. Now

Hayley: Okay Shane

~Iliana POV~

I woke up with a start and Fiore looked back at me tiredly. She sat upright the moment she knew I was awake and sighed happily.

"Finally." She said with a chuckle. "You must be really tired. You were only supposed to sleep for a day. You were out two days straight. Nearly three even."

"What'd I miss?" I asked her worriedly.

"Klaus killed his hybrids." Fiore said nonchalantly as she drank her tea. "He's probably in need of some comforting."

"What?" I felt completely horrified, but also saddened for him.

"Don't worry. I'll send you back to him now." Fiore said as she packed up my things and compelled me. "You will go back to Mystic Falls, say you went back to Hollywood to sort out of some of your affairs and you never saw me."

She threw me the keys of my Bentley and I drove all the way back to Mystic Falls, slightly dazed from trip back to Hollywood. I got to Klaus' house and saw him completely covered in blood. He turned to face me and when I went to move towards him, he stepped away from me.

"Don't." He said sadly. "Just go home. Stay away from me. You'll be happier. You'll be safer. You won't have to be embarrassed of me."

"I have never been embarrassed of you." I ran to him and gave him a hug, silently comforting him and paying no mind to my clothes that were now stained red. "Klaus, what happened?"

"My hybrids." He told me numbly. "I killed them. All of them."

I gasped in shock, immediately worried for Tyler's life and how Caroline would be doing, but I knew better than to take my attention off him.

"Why? What happened? What did they do?" I asked him gingerly.

"They wanted to put me in Rebekah's body and kill the both of us." Klaus said grimly.

"Oh my gosh. So you killed them?" I pulled away from the hug and wasn't sure how to react. I didn't hate him for what he did. But what he did wasn't right either. And despite what he said, he enjoyed having people that would never leave him.

"Yes, I already said that!" He growled.

"Hey! Don't get angry at me! I'm trying to understand what happened! You killed my friend today, Klaus and instead of being with Caroline and comforting her, I'm here comforting you."

"You think I killed Tyler?" He scoffed as he stood up and walked away from me. "I didn't."

"Klaus—"

"No, no, no. Don't get too excited. I wanted to. And if I had found him, I would've killed him. Gladly in fact."

"Don't say that."

"Oh, it gets better!" He continued with a cruel smile on his face. "Because lucky me, I found Carol Lockwood! She begged me not to hurt him, he's all she has. But of course, that meant he had no one else either. So I killed her."

"You didn't."

"I DID!" He yelled. "Because despite what you want to believe, I am a monster! I told you that at the beginning but you refused to believe on blind faith, well here's proof! I am evil to the core! Ever wondered what your housemate's been up to this whole time? I'll tell you where she's been, rotting in a box that I put her in! Because that's what I do! I hurt people. That's what monsters do. I've already hurt you, and now you're just waiting until I hurt you again. Well here it is. Carol Lockwood is dead because of me. Hybrids are dead because of me. I tried to kill your sister, more than once even. I killed your aunt, I killed Isobel! What do I need to do to get it through your head that I am not the good person you perceive me to be? Just go be with Elijah! That's what you want, right? The noble brother! I can't even blame you! Who would want the bastard?"

"Oh Klaus." I walked up to him and slowly held his face in my hands. I pulled his face to mine and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. "The fact that you feel so much anguish just proves that you aren't a monster. That you're just hurt. But I'm not sure I can teach you the truth."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Klaus asked me.

"It means, I think we need some time apart." I said with a sigh before leaving. "I don't know if I'll come back, but just in case you realise the truth, come find me."
