EIGHT
"Hi grandma!"
Changbin exclaimed when closing the door. Felix was following him quietly and they took off their shoes before entering the living room.Felix thought the house looked quite nice. It was big for two people but not too spacy. There were stairs going up and stairs going down and the living room seemed to be connected to the kitchen. That's where his grandma was.
"Oh, you brought someone? How lovely!"
The elderly woman was rather small, like Changbin but gentle looking. She smiled at Felix, a sweet and warm smile. Changbin had never brought anyone to her house since he moved in with her and she was happy to see that he started being more socially active. And, in her opinion, Felix looked like a sweet guy. He was dressed nicely, and his brown eyes looked soft. Looking at Felix you would just have to like him.
"My name is Felix, nice to meet you. Changbin and I are going to study together as English class was cancelled. Only if that's okay for you, of course."
For a second Changbins grandma was confused as she certainly did not expect Felix to have such a deep voice. His politeness made her love him even more and she was so glad that Changbin was surrounding himself with such a good, nice guy."That's lovely! Of course, I don't mind my dear. Do you want to stay for dinner?"
"I'd have to ask my parents but if it's okay I'd be glad to stay for dinner."
"How nice, how nice! Now go studying I don't want to keep you from doing your school work."
Changbin felt some things. He did not know what those feelings were. Felix was right behind him, walking up the stairs. The blonde boy was the first person to ever go into his room that was not his grandma. Somehow, he felt like sharing something very private with Felix when he opened the door to his room.
Felix thought his room was nice. It was very big and cleaner than he had expected. Changbin had no posters and no real decoration. In general, his room looked very neat which may have been due to the only white, grey, black or dark brown colours. His bedsheets were dark grey, and Felix smiled when he spotted a green plushie on it.
Changbins cheeks went dark red when he noticed that Felix had seen his plushie.
"This is embarrassing."
he whispered and Felix chuckled."Don't worry okay! I have plushies too. Next time I'll show you my room. I love plushies."
Both boys looked at each other, silently. Even though Changbin felt relieved he was slightly annoyed by the fact that Felix wanted to hang out some time again. He preferred being alone.
"I'mma get you a chair."
With that the dark-haired boy rushed out of his room. It took him some time to come back and Felix wasn't sure if he was taking that long on purpose or if he just moved slowly. Being alone he just stood there, looking at the blank walls and the white curtains. He could have snooped around but being just there felt like invading Changbins privacy enough, so he didn't. He would have also felt bad if he had snooped around.
With Changbin explaining things to Felix they did not take too long. Sometimes it was awkward for Felix to just sit there, looking at Changbin who would be reading his texts and then tell him what he would need to change.
Luckily, Felix could take criticism. Changbin had excellent grades in English and Felix did not. Felix felt like Changbin had all right to tell him what he should change because he wanted to get better. To him, it was embarrassing to get bad grades in English and he had always felt like there was no way to prepare for class tests, no way for him to get better.
