When Peter screamed I felt the muscles in my body tighten. I don't know what I had been expecting, but it wasn't this. He fell to the floor as his spine moved and repositioned itself, causing his skin to split and shed, blood oozing. When he screamed again I took hold of Romans hand, partly to stop myself from running over to him and because I needed to ground myself. When he reached up and began to peel some of his skin away my head felt dizzy. I could hear his body moving and changing, even the sound of his voice changed from screams to growls. It wasn't beautiful and mystical like it had been in my visions and dreams. It was bloody and gruesome and painful to watch, let alone go through. The pressure on my chest intensified and I felt breathless, my heart threatening to beat right out of my chest.
When Peter gaged I held onto Roman just as tightly as he held onto me, my other hand securing itself around his elbow. His form shaking and quivering I watched as Peters jaw snapped and produced a jet black snout from his throat. As his skin ripped apart and the last of his bones ground against each other the giant wolf infront of me shook blood and bits of skin from its fur. That's when I felt it. The call of the vision deepen inside me. As I stared into his now giant neon eyes I fell to my knees, my head becoming misty as I reached for him, to pet his wet fur. Feeling something tug me back I fought harder, his growls filling my head and making my vision begin to blur. As I began to loose sense of the world around me I watched the darkness close in on Peter placing his snout under my hand.
Piercing green eyes were all that I could see. They were framed by strands of jet black hair and golden brown skin. A silver chain hung around her neck was raised to her lips and she kissed it. When she did, the blood from it stained her lips. Suddenly I was at the wrong end of a shot gun, and when she shot it I watched in slow motion as Peter, in human form, charged at her. He then turned into the wolf and took the bullet to the shoulder. Whimpering he limped over to me and fell to my feet. Looking back up I outstretched my hand to her, not sure what I was doing but glad to see her eyes and nose bleed.
And then she was on the ground, but not by my hand. A tall, long haired woman stood over her body. I watched her face when a long manicured finger wiped a drop of blood from her lips, which were curled back over sharp teeth. Her eyes were completely black, and veins bulged from her forehead and neck. Flashes of a small, blonde haired boy holding her hand filled my mind before a wolf with white fur replaced the whole scene. It snarled, blood on its face before it pounced at me, it's rotten breath and teeth the last thing I saw, smelt and felt.
I jolted from my sleep, my chest filled with air and my mouth open, ready to scream. The light was disorientating when I opened my eyes. My head felt like it wasn't attached to my body and when I moved my limbs I barely felt it. Groaning I tried to focus my eyes on something. I blinked hard, the wall in front of my face looking like two walls built into each other. Sitting up slowly I threw the covers off and got up. My throat felt ridiculously dry. Opening the door and walking out I stopped when I saw three women sitting by the table, a mug in hand. Turning in a circle I frowned, holding onto the wall.
"This isn't my house." I grumbled, the room spinning. Placing a hand on my head I groaned, remembering the dream. The women got up and said something in my ear. I felt my eyes roll back into my head as the extreme vertigo took hold of my body and pierced my skull. "I think I'm going to throw up." I warned them as I was ushered back into the room I had come from. I pushed her away weakly.
"No stop I have to warn him - it was in my dream." I said a little louder, before falling into her arms. When I was haled back onto the bed I was grateful for the darkness that suddenly washed over me.
