Chapter 10: It's Lasting Forever (Cameron's POV)

I guess my Friday morning started out okay. I was half asleep when I was eating breakfast, only to hear Noah playing the most annoying song ever. And by the most annoying song ever, I mean Friday by Rebecca Black. Then, Emma realized that today was actually Friday. I guess the song was appropriate.

Sandra dropped us off at school this morning. We walked down the hallway to see a "Top 5 Student Leaders" board. All of us knew that it was a popularity board, but the Student Council had to call it something else. I didn't want to bother looking at it because I knew that I was number 1. Well, then I took a look at it.

I was so happy for Emma. I know that she tries to be popular, and now she is number 5 on the board. I could see her in the halls today with a big smile on her face. People at school must really notice her.

Today at lunch, some people invited Emma to sit at our table. I felt bad for not inviting her myself, but I was afraid that people would make fun of her at the table. I could tell that Emma really enjoys her spot on the popularity board. I don't want to say that I had a part in it, but I probably did.

When I got home, I was in for a big surprise. Dad had 4 poster boards. "Guys," Dad said, "I am going to ask Sandra to marry me when she gets home. I need you guys to make posters asking her to marry me."

Avery made a poster that said "Will you." Emma made a poster that said "Our Mom." Noah made a poster that said "Marry." Lastly, I made a poster that said "Our Dad." Dad said that Avery would hold the 1st one, Emma and Avery would hold the second one, Noah would hold the 3rd one, and Naoh and I would hold the last one. I wanted to see how this turns out.

Sandra walked in from the store, and we did the poster thing. Then, dad got down on one knee. "Sandra, will you marry me?" He asked.

Sandra paused for a moment. I didn't want her to say no, "Matt, of course I will marry you," she said, "You have been an excellent dad to Emma and Avery, and I know that you will be an excellent husband,"

Well, there you have it. Dad and Sandra are going to marry each other. That means that I will get to live with Emma until we move out for college. I was looking forward to the many years to come.
