Angela got back to the med bay then sat down in her desk chair, satisfied and tired. She used a little bit of her energy for that plus, she hasn't eaten all day. She perked up and decided that she would go to the break room to retrieve food. Before walking out she glanced at the clock, reading it. 6:57. She had nothing to do for the rest of the day unless something were to pop up of course.
Instead of silent halls there was plenty of indistinguishable chatter coming from the break room. She sighed because despite her happy and cheerful attitude, Angela really didn't talk to the other agents unless they were in the med bay. She didn't mind people by any means, but she most of the time was alone in there.
She walked in and only one person turned to see her. That person of course was Lena since she was alert. "Hey Angela!!", she excitedly shouted. A few other heads turned their way, including Genji. They all seemed to be talking to him, almost admiring. Genji's eyes dilated at the sight of Angela.
She was so beautiful.
She just shyly waved at all of them, "Hello, Lena." Smiling lightly she walked over to the counters to grab a plate of food. It smelled wonderful since it was just recently cooked. The atmosphere of the room was so celebratory, almost like a party. It was so full and everybody was laughing and having such a wonderful time. After filling her plate with food she began to walk out. "Aww Angela why don't you eat with us?", Lena asked: disappointed. She turned around and gently grinned, "Oh no thank you. I just rather eat in the med bay.", she nervously replied. "Understandable doc! Enjoy the food!", she said. Nodding she walked out and speed walked to the med bay.
After gently closing the door she once again sat at her desk and immediately dug in. Mashed potatoes and honey glazed ham. The room was almost dead silent aside from Angela's shifting and chewing, it was peaceful in her opinion.
Then she heard the doorknob click and then Genji walked in. Angela looked at him, slightly perplexed. "Is something wrong, Genji?", she asked. "No. But Angela why aren't you eating with the others. They seemed a little disappointed that you weren't eating with them, including me.", he asked. "I'm not sure. I suppose I just wanted to eat alone. I like the silence more." She just let out a breath of relief, it was really nice that he was concerned though, he'd fit into the group just fine. "Well, would it be a burden to accompany you?", he asked. She smiled lightly, "No of course not! Feel free to stay as long as you want.", she encouraged. He smiled joyfully at her bright attitude, this woman would truly be the death of him. Genji sat down in a chair next to her desk and just watched her eat. "Angela, besides treating the injured, what do you usually do on your free time?" She looked at him slightly puzzled but still answered, "I usually do paper work or take naps. It gets pretty tiring.", she giggled. Genji was a little surprised that a someone like her didn't go out. "Angela, would you like to go on a walk tomorrow?", he asked. Fresh air did sound nice to her, she smiled brightly and nodded.
God, he had it bad.
