Angela sat in the med bay, refreshed and tired. The walk consumed most of the day and it was around dusk at this point. She yawned, her eyes growing tired and her body becoming weak. She jerked herself out of bed and strode to the bathroom.

She lazily looked at herself in the mirror and brushed her teeth, almost like a zombie. She spat out the suds and rinsed her mouth out and cleaned her toothbrush. Yawning she let her hair down and went to bed, exhausted at this point.

Shuffling lightly she became comfortable and began to rapidly fall asleep. Her eyes closed and her body relaxed; she fell asleep.

The morning sun returned with its golden presence, illuminating Angela's room with that familiar glow. You could see the dust scattering in the atmosphere, lost. She pried her eyes open and squinted at her abrupt awakening.

Then she lifted her torso up and stretched, a grunt escaping her. Her hair was a horrifying mess, sticking all over the place like an untamed animal.

She slid her legs off of her bed and put her feet on the floor. Unfortunately she didn't have socks on and the unforgiving temperature of the floor shocked her feet. Flinching away she gasped and sighed as she calmed down. Reaching for her dresser she grabbed a pair of white socks and pulled them on. She didn't even sleep in her pajamas last night, she was so tired that she didn't even change.

Walking into the bathroom she giggled at her morning look, she was a mess. Grabbing her brush she aggressively rugged at her hair, eventually getting all knots out. Then she put her hair up into another high pony tail, her signature hairstyle.

After performing her morning routine she decided some breakfast would be nice. So, she walked out of her quarter and to the break room. Nobody was really there except Gabe and Winston, both of them were just eating and were completely silent. Probably because it's so early and most are still asleep.

She walked past the countertops, into the kitchen, and into the pantry. She grabbed flour, sugar, salt, and maple syrup. Then she walked to the fridge and grabbed eggs, milk, and strawberries. At the counter she snatched a bowl, whisk, and measuring cups. She measured out all the ingredients and dumped them into the bowl then lightly combined them. She then began to heat a skillet on the stove and sprayed it with grease. Then she poured some batter in and began to cut the strawberries.

Genji walked into the break room and smelt food, delicious food. His nose leaded him to the kitchen and he saw Angela, cooking away in the clothes from yesterday. She saw him, "Good morning Genji! Would you like some pancakes?" He smiled at her, she was such a mood lifter, "That'd be nice, thank you!" She smiled at him one last time before turning her attention back to the pancakes.

After flipping and pouring batter, she was done. She topped both plates of pancakes with cut strawberries and brought them to Genji at the counter. "Here you go! I hope you enjoy them!" Genji smiled at her gratefully, "Thank you!"

They both walked out to the break room and sat down, immediately digging in. Angela brought the syrup with her free hand and they drowned their pancakes in it, they tasted heavenly. "How are they?", she asked with slight insecurity. "These are...These are incredible! Where'd you learn to cook like this?!", he asked as his tastebuds were in pure ecstasy. "I guess I always had it in me.", she laughed.

After putting up their dishes and cleaning up, they returned to their rooms. It really was a great start to the day. Genji hasn't failed to brighten Angela's day and vice versa. Her day just started and it was already perfect.
