"Yeah, but I can do self defence. I escaped you guys for a good week." I shrug.

Pete snickers before suddenly sobering up. He lifts his hands and suddenly Im drawn over, staggering over towards him. My hands and arms lift involuntarily and I spin like a ballerina. He takes my hand and feeling is gone from my body. He spins me around, like we are dancing, yet he is still sitting down. He puts his hand on my hip, leaning me back. I cant control any of my movements. I feel numb and weak as he dances me around. I feel like Im going to be sick. There is a lot of laughter surrounding me.

"For goodness sake Pete! The dance of death on day 2? Drop her! She hasnt done anything to you!" Patricks voice gets louder as he gets closer.

Suddenly Im back, dropping to the floor. I land on my knees, slumping down, face down, on the floor. I arch my back in an attempt to stand, gasping for breath.

"You cant do that to everyone you meet Pete. Dont abuse your powers."

I feel my body shake as I try to get the strength to stand, its like Ive been drained.

"Lets all eat and forget about this. Okay?"

"Im not hungry anymore." Pete says, and I can hear the grin on his face.

"Pete, are you serious?"

I feel someone put a hand on my back, attempting to see if Im okay.

"You almost killed her for a joke?"

Im almost dead? I focus on inhaling and exhaling. I feel Patrick attempt to lift me to my feet, forcing my arm over his shoulder.

"Can you hold yourself at all?" He asks.

I shake my head. Andy stands on my other side, putting my arm around him. They lower me onto the sofa before letting me go.

"Dude, thats low." Andy laughs at Pete.

I let my head hang, so I wont be able to escape? I lie my head on one side of the sofa and Andy lifts my legs onto the other side of the sofa. I stare at the wall for a while, ignoring the strained conversation behind me.

After a while I force myself to sit up with all the power I have. I wipe my hands over my head, the sweat coming off on my hands. I have to show him Im not to be played with. Im stronger than he thinks. I force myself to standing and push myself over to a seat by the table, slipping myself into it.

They all look my way and I force a grin.

"You feeling better now?" Patrick asks.

"I feel... Great!" I say with a nod.

"Well, Im off to the lab. I need to fix the gun we got back." Patrick nods his head at us.

Everyone says bye in some form or another.

"Well, Im going to spear some vampires." Andy says with a grin.

"Can I come with?" I ask. "I just want to watch?"

He pauses, biting on his lip. "Fine."

I get some food and water, giving me more energy. I then follow Andy through to a large room with mannequins and full body cut outs.

"Take a seat." He points at the wall.

I do. Andy puts on a hooded cape and stand just under 100 meters away from the targets. He runs across the width of the room, pulling out stakes as he runs, flinging then at the mannequins. Each stake whizzes through the air, impaling the dummies in their torsos. Andy ducks, rolling on the floor, then turning and throwing it over his shoulder. As I eat I cant help but too ooh and ahh.

By the time he finishes all of his stakes, I have finished eating and drinking, and feel more alive and well.

Andy pulls the stakes out, muttering a out how he needs to aim better. He replaces the stakes in his coat before turning around to face me.

"Enjoy?" He asks.

"Id love to try one day. I used to play darts... Although this seems more fun." I point out.

He grins, pulling down his hood. "Here, take some stakes, stand as close as you want. Try and stake them."

I look up at him as he holds out a couple of stakes. A grin spreads across my face and I stand, taking the stakes. I stand closer than he did, feeling the first wooden stake in my grasp. I twist it around, gaging difference like I always did. I find a comfortable hold, lifting it back. I throw it as hard and precise as I can. It whizzes through the air, impaling the board just clipping the top of the head. I grunt, taking the second stake and feeling it in my hands. I take a step in, throwing the stake again. It flies, and before it hits the board I know its too far left. It hits the shoulder, as expected.

I shake my head, holding onto the last stake. I aim and throw, barely thinking about what Im doing. It whizzes like normal, but impales straight through the heart. I grin, just as I wanted it.

"Well. You have potential, clearly." Andy seems taken aback.

"Its fun, isnt it" I grin.

"Okay Im going back inside to talk to Patrick?" He backs up, running back in to the main building

I follow him and see him whispering to him. I frown, what is this about. He makes a throwing motion and I grin.

"Did you accidentally impale him?" Joe laughs, sitting down on the sofa.

"If I did, then he is dying quietly." I say smugly.

"So, you tried to beat Andy at what Andy does best."

"No, not really."

Joe coughs awkwardly, attempting to change the subject. Patrick shrugs and Andy looks as confused as he face would let him.

"So, Andy, are we going back? I want to try again." I smile sweetly.
