Chapter 26

Mary's Point of View

The long journey back to Harry's home town wasn't too bad, considering the fact I was asleep most of the time.

I guess jet lag took over and I couldn't stay awake. Just feel bad for Harry because his is probably just as bad as mine and he drove the whole way, not stops.

On the outskirts of Holmes Chapel, I told him I had to stop to go to the bathroom and grab something to eat.

"Sure thing babe."

He dropped me off at Tesco's and said he'd come in with me. It's raining like hell.

A few people spotted us while we were shopping but I didn't really care, not like I would have before.

I also caught a few flashes with Haz glancing around but he none the less took my hand and guided me around the store he knew so well.

We got sandwiches, red bulls and I went to the bathroom.

By the time we were done eating, it was practically hailing.

"Em..." Harry trailed off. "Do you remember where I parked the car?"

"Um... No."

"Shit!" he muttered under his breath. "You stay here and I'll go find it, alright?"

"Haz you'll freeze! It's pouring!"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine."

"I'm coming with you!" I told him stubbornly.

When he tried to protest, I glared and he gave in.

"At least take my hoodie."

I shook my head obstinately and he sighed, taking my hand and running while squinting through the parking lot to find it.

Half an hour of looking, we were soaking wet.

Harry seemed to be thinking the same thing as I was.

"I'm soaking wet!" he groaned.

"Thays what she said," I winked and we both laughed through our shivers.

Suddenly, my brain clicked and I hit Harry's chest.

"Haz you idiot!" I shouted.

"What?" he asked with a blank face.

"We parked your stupid sports car under ground!"

"No fucking shit. Are you actually serious?"

"Yes!"

With that, we both sprinted to his car together, not getting over our idiocy.

"Harry, it's cold!" I complained in the car.

"I know Em," he told me as he turned up the heat as far as it would go.

The ride to his family home was quiet as we were both too cold to speak.

As soon as he drove into the driveway, guess what?

It stopped raining.

"Just our luck," he shook his head as we made our way up to the front porch and he knocked the door.
