Chapter 28

Recap:

"If you're in love with two people at once, you should pick the second one. If you were truly in love with the first person, you would never have fallen for the second."

We both stayed silent while he mulled over what I'd said.

"Thanks, Em," he sighed and hugged me.

"No problem, Li. I'm here for you no matter what. Now tell me, who is this girl?"

A soft smile fell on his face.

"Do I know her?" I asked excitedly.

"Umm..."

"Who is it? I can't wait any longer, who is it!"

"You know her."

"Liam James Payne just tell me who it is already!"

"It's Millie."

"Oh."

Wow.

Just wow.

I can't believe he fell in love with Millie!

Not in a bad way of course, she's one of the most amazing people ever!

It's just... If I imagined someone falling for her out of the boys, it would have been Louis because she's like his twin, always hyper.

Mind you, she really likes Liam as well. The thought of the science law 'opposites attract' comes to mind, I guess.

"So what are you going to do?" I asked Liam softly.

He sighed. "I'm going to break things off with Danielle. I don't think it's fair if I lead her on or stay with her while I'm in love with another person."

"That's true. What about Millie?"

"She has a boyfriend," he pouted.

"Please!" I scoffed. "She fell out of love with him a year ago. They broke up because he cheated and now she's just giving him another chance."

"Really?" he looked like Christmas had come early.

"Really," I laughed.

"Well then, I'm going to make her fall in love with me!" Liam exclaimed confidently.

"That's not gonna be too hard," I laughed.

I'd come here to get Liam smiling and talking. Mission accomplished.

After talking for a while, I told Liam I'd catch up with him later an left him to pack, making my way back upstairs to Lou's and mine.
