Diagon Alley

I felt like vomiting. I don't want to do that again. When I looked around me, I realized that I was no longer in the kitchen.

This place was... different. People were walking around in cloaks; few people were wearing a shirt and jeans like me. And I'm guessing I looked like them: out of place. To my right was the headmaster of the said 'Wizarding School', and in front of us was a shop littered with caged owls.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley. This is where I'll be leaving you for now. Go ahead and explore. Here's the list of what to buy. When you are done, come back here and I will send you back home to your mother." Dumbledore says as he gives me a key and a large bag.

"This is for Gringotts. Farewell for now, Pierce Black."

And he was gone.

I opened the letter and started reading its contents:

I groaned; so MANY books! Wait, how was I supposed to afford any of these? I held up the key and examined it. It was unlike any other keys I've ever seen: bronze with cursive writing. "Toujours pur" it said. It was heavy too. I looked around me and found a boy with glasses walking next to a really, REALLY, tall man with a beard. The tall man seemed to know his way, and the boy was dress in normal everyday clothes like me. Here goes nothing....

"Umm, excuse me, do you know what this key is for?" I asked them.

The tall man seemed surprised by my sudden appearance, and then he started chuckling.

"Wha' you got there is a key for Gringotts." He replied, as if it was the most obvious answer.

I was still confused, "What's Gringotts?"

To my surprise, it was the boy who spoke up this time. "It's a bank. We just went there. There were a bunch of goblins. You have to introduce yourself, give them your key and follow them. At least that's what we did."

"Thanks!" I grinned. I don't know what it was, but his eyes had the same look as mine. I could trust him.

"I'm Pierce Jac-Black, I mean."

The tall man looked at me in surprise (I seemed to be surprising him a lot lately) and the boy smiled back.

"I'm Harry Potter."

And withthat we both said bye and walked our separate ways. Gringotts, here I come
