"So, we're really about to hang out with these weirdos, because you think they know this random person El is looking for? That she doesn't even know who they are? You're crazy," Lucas ranted as they all walked toward where they agreed to meet up.

"It's one time, Lucas. I'm sure if she tells them this person has some kind of super power or whatever, they'll know who she's talking  about. That's pretty strange," Mike said. Lucas rolled his eyes.

"It better be only once, Mike," Lucas said, huffing and crossing his arms as he walked. Mike thought about the boy who he knew was named Richie. Why did he look so similar to him? He didn't think they were related. His parents never talked about a twin brother they shipped off to Maine. That's crazy talk.

They meet at a cliff, just over it is a nice lake. The Loser's explain they swim there all the time. There are seven of them this time. On Richie's arm was a smaller boy, their elbows interlocked with each other. Max noticed he was wearing a fanny pack and was going to make a joke, but figured there wasn't a point. Bev runs up to El immediately, taking her hands and almost squealing. El looks horrified, but smiles afterwards anyway.

"We have a question, if you guys don't mind," Mike said, looking at Richie. Richie looked at Ben.

"Ben's the guy for questions. He can tell ya anything you need to know," he said, nudging Ben with his foot.

"Let's get straight to the point. You guys say you know everyone in Derry?" Lucas asked. They all nodded.

"Small town," the boy on Richie's arm said.

"Yeah, got that, do you know anyone that might have some kind of super power? Like a super human ability?" he asked. Suddenly, they all went silent and bug eyed. They all seemed to freeze and they instantly became pale and choked up. "Well?"

"Yeah," The newest boy, a dark skinned boy, finally spoke for them.

"Shut up, Mike," Stan whispered at him. El let go of Beverly's hands.

"Where?" she asked. They violently shook their heads.

"No. Nowhere," Richie said.

"Th-they don't exis-st," another boy said. Dustin rolled his eyes.

"We don't have all day, just tell us where this special person is and we won't bother you anymore," he said, getting impatient.

"No!" Stan yelled, causing the Hawkins gang to take a step back.

"This is ridiculous. I told you they were weird! Let's go," Lucas said, starting to walk away. Richie stopped him.

"Hey! You wanna know who they are? They're a monster. The only one in Derry with special powers is the fucking clown that lives in the sewer. If your dumb asses wanna get killed, be my damn guest, but don't bring us into it. We had our time. But I swear to God, If you bring It back, you're dead. All of you, and eventually, all of us. Don't be stupid and go home," he snapped, dragging the boy who continuously puffs his aspirator like it's life support with him as he storms away. Beverly looks like she's about to cry.

"I'm sorry, I can't do it again," she says, choked up, walking after him, grabbing Ben on her way out. Then there were only three of them.

"W-we promised if It ever c-came b-back, we w-would kill It, they'll be b-back," The tallest boy said. He walked up to them and extended an arm. "I'm Bill."

Mike shook his hand and looked expectantly at the others. The darker boy also walked up. Stan stayed back, his arms crossed.

"I'm Mike," the new boy said, shaking hands with Mike.

"So am I," he said. Lucas realized now why Richie was making jokes in the arcade. Will made his way up to Stan.

"Are you going to help us find them?" he asked softly. Stan looked at him.

"No," he said, pushing past him and going up to Bill.

"I told you, Bill. I'm not going back to Neibolt. Not after last time," he said, slightly pushing him.

"Y-you made a p-promise, Stan," he said, pushing back. "An oath."

"I hate you, Bill," he said, promptly walking away.

"Does anyone want to explain what's going on and why everyone is getting so touchy?" Max asked.

"Last year, there was this thing, no way was It human. We don't know if It's dead, but we all made a promise that if It ever comes back, we'll fight It again. It's a touchy subject, though, because we all had traumatizing experiences with It," Mike explained.

"What was it?" Dustin asked. They shrugged.

"We don't know. We know that It haunts under Derry, though, and that's where It should stay. If you guys mess with It and bring it back, you're gonna fight It, not us," Mike said.

"I-it was inhuman. It k-killed my b-brother. You don't w-want to have t-to face It," Bill said.

"We have our own fair share of weird things. Thanks for your presumptuous warning, though," Max said. Lucas nudged her and shook his head at her.

"Yeah, alright. Have fun getting killed," Mike said. "Come on, Bill."

The two of them walked away finally, leaving the rest of them with little information, and Mike's fear of clowns.
