The morning after, Will didn't mention the balloon he saw, or at least, he thought he saw. Was he crazy? Maybe Mike was right, maybe there wasn't one. Maybe Will made it up. He laughed at himself. He was just scaring himself further.

"Will, you alright? Come on," Dustin said, snapping his fingers in Will's general direction.

"Yeah, sorry," Will breathed out, coming out of his thoughts and walking with the rest of the group.

"Where are we going?" Max asked no one in particular. Lucas shrugged.

"El said she needed to go somewhere, so naturally, all of us have to go with her," he said, sneering slightly at Mike. Mike rolled his eyes.

"We need to find the others," El said, walking a little faster. Lucas stopped dead in his tracks.

"What? No way!" he said, crossing his arms.

"Lucas, come on, man" Dustin said, reaching for his arm to drag him along. He pulled away quickly.

"Nuh uh. No. For what reason do we need to talk to any of them again?" he asked. At this point, a woman walking her dog and two men in a passing car have glared at them for causing a scene.

"We're here for El, we're doing what she says," Mike said.

"Okay, but you heard what they said. If we awaken this, whatever they were talking about, we're the ones that have to deal with it," he said.

The group eventually carried on a little while longer. El had picked a dandelion, thinking it's a flower, and gave it to Max. She didn't want to tell her it was a weed, so she just put it behind her ear. Lucas said it was cute and she blushed, immediately taking it off and putting it in her pocket.

"Have you guys noticed anything...off? About this place?" Will asked, staring down at his feet as he walked. There were a series of "no's" from the group.

"Why? Have you?" Mike asked. He shrugged.

"I guess not," he said quietly. They heard a bell chime and looked at the source. Walking out of an ice cream shop was, who they recently met, Stan and a boy with a stutter they heard Stan call Bill.

"Can we go anywhere without running into them?" Dustin asked. Him saying this got their attention, and Stan sighed.

"Oh, it's you guys again. Why are you still here? Go home before you fuck something up," he said, licking his soft serve.

"We need to find the clown," Max said.

"Of course you do. Why wouldn't you try to wake the sewer demon that nearly killed all of us? Tough luck, pal. It only lives once every 27 years." he said, turning to walk away.

"Wait!" Mike yelled. Stan rolled his eyes so hard he could see his brain and inhaled all the air on earth through his nostrils. He turned on his heel to face them once more.

"Yes?" he asked through his teeth.

"What can you at least tell us about It? Tell her?" Mike asked, motioning towards El.

"W-what d-do you want t-to know?" Bill asked cautiously.

"Everything."
