Chapter One

The school bell rang as I left my last class. It was now going to be summer. I was dreading summer because I never really go anywhere, or even hang out with people. Next year I am going to be a junior, great, I never thought I would grow up so independently. I guess it was because I was always left home alone as my parents worked and nobody was allowed over. This summer, I will probably end up going to work out of state with my dad and help him organize his business.

As thoughts flew my mind, I walked to my locker to grab any last minute papers I left behind. As I unlocked my locker, this guy poked me and handed me this paper. He said, "We should hang out sometime!" And then he walked away. I knew who it was by his face, Lewis Olson, a really handsome soon to be senior.

Lewis had the best bold blue eyes that caught everyone's attention. He probably had a six pack underneath his shirt and was nice and tall. He was in one of my classes last semester and he was really sweet. I remember when I needed help on something he volunteered to help me, but then the girl next to me ended up helping me.

There was actually a rumor going around that he was dating a freshman and they went out for dinner and she ditched him. She must have been really rude for doing that!

The announcements came on, "Goodbye to all of the seniors who are graduating and congratulations to those who have moved a grade up!" That was our principal of our school.

After announcements everybody left the school building. I walked home because the buses were too crowded, and I only live a couple of blocks away from the school anyways. I held the paper in my right hand and held my phone in the other. I kept a close eye on the paper because I didn't want to accidentally drop it.

As soon as I got home, I added him to the contacts of my phone. I texted him, 'Heyy:D' and waited for a reply. It took only about two minutes and he already responded. 'Hey hottie! How is your summer so far?' The message read. I could feel my cheeks turn red, hopefully my parents aren't home. My house seemed pretty empty. I took a seat at my table as I finally replied, 'It is alright. Just got home and I am really not doing anything. How about yours?' I grab some food from my fridge and a water bottle. I was actually really happy today. Even though it is now summer.

The day kept going on and it was around dinner time when my parents got home. "How was your last day of school?" My mother asked me. "It was alright." I replied with a smile. I didn't want to tell her anything that happened at school with the whole 'getting a guy's number' thing. My phone then rang. It was Lewis.

'Would you like to hang out tomorrow morning?' He sent me. 'Sure!' I replied to him. Then my phone got two messages. 'Great, meet me a Gardner Forest tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.' and then another message popped up. 'Can't wait to hang out with you, you always seemed like a fun type of girl." He said and of course I was blushing the whole time I was reading that. I didn't reply because my phone died and it was about time for bed.

When I got up in the morning, I curled my hair and put shorty shorts on and a cute tank top I just got last time I was at the mall. "You look cute today! What is the occasion?" My mom asks me. "Going on a date." I say and walk away. "Wait, with who?" She asks shocked and questioned me right away. "A senior named Lewis." I replied and closed the door after me.

I could only think of what she said to my dad when he woke up. They are probably freaking out right now. I can never go anywhere without them knowing where I am going and with who. Today though was different, my parents didn't know where I was going and they only knew I was with someone of the name "Lewis" and they have no last name.

I took my car and drove to the Gardner Forest where I am meeting Lewis. I texted him that I was on the way before I left. I heard my phone ring, but I am driving so I will wait to answer it. I kept driving and after about fifteen minutes I made it to the place. I looked at my phone and read the message, 'Okay, can't wait to see you. I am waiting.' It said and I got out of my car and saw his handsome face.

"Hey!" He screamed. I ran to him. He probably liked the sight of me running, for he was staring straight at me. "Hey handsome!" I said without thinking of what I just called him. "How is your morning so far?" He asks me. "Great since I got here!" I said with a bright smile. I could just tell I was blushing already. I must really love him. I never felt like this before.
