Chapter Four

The party for which Daniel had invited both Mel and me was at Saturday evening so I know the whole week is going to be 'scar what are you wearing', 'scar what should I wear', 'scar we should go shopping', and all and all...

But surprisingly this didn't happen, I don't know how and why but Melissa became calm. she starts talking to Daniel in a good manner, he was happy and took her to dinner or lunch. I was happy for them, they look so adorable together, but when I think about me I'll always end up being alone.

Dan start visiting library daily, sometimes for books or sometime for Mel but he always meets me whenever he comes.

"Hey, beautiful still working?" A voice came from behind me and I smiled looking down from the top of the shelf as Daniel stood there.

"Hi Dan."

"Come down I want your help."

"what happened?"

"First come down scar."

He helped me from the stairs and books in my hand, we sat on one of the table at cafe across the street where Melissa soon join us.
I was a bit surprised that normally when Daniel says he needs my help it's probably Melissa is upset with him or he want to take her out on date but today she join us so thankfully I don't have to advise him.

"So tell me?" I said taking a sip of my favorite cold coffee.

"Umm...party is tomorrow and you are coming right?" he asked after giving Mel a look, I nod. "so I want to take you both for shopping for party."

"Oh my god really Danny? we are coming." Melissa said as she started to bounce on her seat.

"Wait, I don't have to come for shopping. I have my dress, so you guys continue please."

Mel pouted and Dan gave me a look.

"What? Guys I'm not coming please."

"Fine I'm not coming to party." Mel said and suddenly Dan's face fall on floor.

"Mel come on babe." I tried but she just shook her head.

"No if you're not coming for shopping with me and danny then I'm not going to any party and that's final." she said huffing and puffing like a five year old and the next moment even crossed her arms on her chest as well.

Dan gave me puppy eye and all I looked at Mel but she didn't look at me just down the floor. I sigh and looked at Daniel.

"Fine we are going." I announced and Mel starts jumping.

"Let's go then." Dan said getting up and moving around.

"Are you serious? It's only lunch we have all day." I said.

"No we need time for choosing our dress and other things. Please scar stop being like that." Melissa pouted again making me and Daniel chuckle at her childish nature.

"Yeah I got it. Let's go." I said and moved out with her.

We went back to library to inform Mike who owns the Library and is so understanding he gave us the rest of the day off and we headed to Daniel's car he, Mel and I went to sit in the back as Daniel took the wheel. We went to a fashion designer's boutique, where to my surprise he knew the owner who helped us around.
We looked for Melissa's dress first looking at every dress which caught her attention. Then Daniel came up with a dress holding it out to her and she took it from him beaming.
Then it came to me I was not that much excited as Melissa was but yeah I want to know how these parties are so I looked for the dress.

"Here, what you think about this?" Mel asked twirling a dress in her hand which was strapless dress with bright red colour and ended maybe my mid thighs I gave her are you serious look and she's gone again to get me a new dress.

"Excuse me, try this one you will love it." The women who owns the boutique came in front of me, god knows from where.

She gave me a dress which was black which has a beautiful diamond work on the chest and on sides there was curve cuts which will show my waist from sides and has back deep neck.
All in all that dress was elegant, so beautiful, I fell in love with dress in a moment.

"Go try this sweetheart." she said and I went to the trial room and slip out from my dress and slip in with that gorgeous gown. That fits perfectly on my body and make my curves look beautiful. It was like it's made for me specially.

"Scar come out I wanna see." Mel's voice come from outside and I open the door and came in contact with three pair of eyes. I was a little uncomfortable because Daniel was watching me up and down, Mel's mouth was open and the lady was so happy god knows why.
When Melissa got my nervousness she jabbed an elbow towards Daniel and he clear his throat.

"Ohh my, darling it's for you only. My dresses never looked this beautiful on anyone." the lady said and I blushed.

"Wow scar it's perfect, we are taking this." Daniel said and took out his phone and type a message to someone. "umm...scar can I take a picture please. I have taken Mel's as well."

I was confused why he want to take a picture of mine before I can say anything he click a picture of mine and again starts doing something on his phone.

"What you think Mel didn't you like it?" I ask to her as  she didn't said a word yet and that's impossible.

"No baby it's perfect. I was just jealous of you." She said and I roll my eyes.

I went inside again to change into my dress again and I try to find the price tag on the gown but there isn't any.
When I was about to come out I heard Daniel's voice he was talking to someone.

"Yes...she loved the dress it's perfect, yeah mama.....oh common.....okay I'll talk to you later."

"Who was it?" I asked to him and he jumped a little.

"Ummm...my mom I told her about Mel's dress and she said it look perfect on her." Daniel said.

We went to counter for billing, but I stopped the lady before she was billing my dress.

"How much this cost?" I asked taking wallet out.

"Scar it's my gift to both of you." Daniel said pushing my hand down.

"No Dan I know but, if it's expensive then I am sorry I won't take it." I turn to the lady on counter. "so how much?"

"It's nothing sweetheart it's a gift from me, because I never seen such a beautiful lady in my life and if you won't accept it you are breaking my heart." the lady said and a sigh came from Dan? why?

"Ummm....there is no need of these mam please." I tried but failed and the lady packed it and gave bags to mel who refused to gave them to me.

It was evening so we decided to have dinner outside and after that Daniel dropped both of us to our houses but even after that Mel didn't gave me my bags and said 'I will get them tomorrow when we will get ready together for party' so I just nod not wanting to argue with her.

Dan dropped me and I thank him for both the day and dress. He nod smiling as I went inside did my chores and went to bed, as soon as my head hit the pillow sleep consume me.
