I wake up, my eyes wide and I'm clutching a knife in my hand.

"Bad dream? It's okay if you did. I get em too." Lewis says and I look over, not even realizing that he'd been awake.

"Yeah, I guess you could call it that." I say back as coolly as I can, but inside, I'm still screaming.

"So, should we eat something then head out?" Lewis says and I shrug, and grabs some food out of my bag and eats a bit of it, then puts it back.

"We're running low again. We've got to get some more." I say, and suddenly, a little chirp comes from above my head.

"What's that?" Lewis says, and we both get on our knees and I smile widely as I see a little owl in its nest.

"Awwwww! It's a little owl! I love owls." I say and Lewis chuckles.

"Come on, Han. We gotta get moving." He says and climbs out of the tree and I smile at the owl and then reaches into my bag.

I pull out a tiny piece of bread and I whisper, "For you, Mr. Owl."

I climb out next and we walk swiftly through the woods and we come to a field, and we stop.

"Great. This is the last place we need to be. Another field where everyone can die under my leadership." Lewis says and I grab his shoulder and makes him face me and keep my eye contact.

"Lewis Brindley, you were a great leader, and you still are. All of those people had to die so that we could live." I say, and thinks of Rythian, Ridge, Duncan, Jerome and Mitch.

He sighs and we walk on.

"We should go to a town, set up there. The nearest one to here it think, is Bristol." Lewis says and I stiffen slightly at the mention of my old home.

"OK, sounds like a great plan to me. Fantastic idea. What about Martyn?" I say and Lewis looks at me.

"We find him first." He says and we dash back into the woods and we come across a river.

"Oh my God..." Lewis says and I then turn to see what he's looking at and I see her.

I see Zoey with a branch in her stomach, and mushrooms in her hands.

"Zoey, no! No no no..." I cry and runs to my friends side, and I instantly notice something.

Her necklace is gone; the thing that kept her sane, was gone.

"They must have had to go over the edge to escape those idiots. She must have gotten this lodged in her stomach. Martyn must have left to find us." Lewis says and I close my eyes, remembering everything about Zoey, her weird little quirks.

"Martyn must have taken her necklace. She would go to end of the earth looking for that thing." I say, opening my eyes and standing up.

"Come on, let's go." Lewis says in a tight voice, and I know that he's grieving Zoey as much as me.

"No. We've gotta bury her first. We can't leave her here." I say and Lewis looks likes he's about to argue, but he sighs and we start digging a hole.

We finish the hole and Lewis picks up Zoey's body, and lays her gently in the hole.

"Bye Zo. We'll never forget you." I say and Lewis nods and pulls me into a hug, and I bury my head into his chest.

"Thank you Zoey. For keeping us going. Thank you for being there for the group, for us." Lewis says and we refill the hole, and Zoey's body vanishes before our eyes as the hole rapidly refills.

"Come on, let's go and find Martyn." I say quietly and we walk off, tears in both of our eyes.

We walk for what seems like days, but it's really only been a few hours before we hear a enraged scream, and we look at each other.

"Martyn! That you?" I yell and another scream answers us, so Lewis draws his gun and I draw mine, and we move towards the scream.

We emerge through some bushes and Lewis aims his gun as we see a certain yellow coated man.

"Sjin." I say with rage in my voice and he turns and points a gun at us, his eyes wild.

"Oh, look, Sips. It's Lewis and Hannah. Hey Minty, should we shoot those mother-truckers together?" Sjin says and me and Lewis share shocked glances.

"Sjin, nobody's here. You're alone. You're outnumbered." Lewis says calmly, taking aim at Sjin's head.

"Oh Lewis. You don't understand. They are right here. Mints is on the left side of me, Sips is on the right." Sjin says and chuckles as if somebody had just told him something hilarious.

I take aim and presses my finger against the trigger, but not hard enough to let the bullet fly.

This was something Lewis needed to do, to get revenge for everything Sjin had done to the group before I showed up.

"Goodbye Sjin." Lewis says and fires, and Sjin falls to the ground, a bullet hole through his head.

"He was a very confused man. And he's finally gone." Lewis says and I look at Sjin's body.

"Let's go. Martyn had to have come through here." I say and we walk on, and I can tell that Lewis is on the brink of losing it.

It turns to night an we lay against a tree and I lean my head onto his shoulder.

"God, I hope someone finds a bloody cure soon. I can't take this anymore. Just... killing people for survival, I know it's what we have to do, but I'm sick of this. I just want it to stop." I say and Lewis sighs, kissing my head.

"Me too, Hannah. Me too." He says and we fall into silence, neither of us sleeping.
