Rosie's Pov
"Good night, Rosie." Owen waved at me from his dorm room door.
"Thanks again Owen, for today." I gave Owen a wide smile. "Goodnight." I waved at him before entering my dorm room.
Closing the door with a smile I turned around walking further ahead in the room only to stop dead in my tracks when I saw Kyle sitting on my bed with his eyes fixed on me.
Kyle likes you. Owen's voice resonated on my mind but I quickly get rid of such thoughts.
I ignored him and took my shoe off standing at the edge of my bed.
His presence alone was effecting me.
"You look all dolled up." Kyle commented cocking his head trailing his eyes from my head to toe.
I shuffled from one foot to another at his comment. I didn't dress any fancy. I wore a blue skinny jeans with red flared tops and paired it with my red vans.
Something about the way he was talking and looking at me didn't feel right.
I didn't say anything to him and he took that as his opportunity to continue talking. "By the smile on your face when you entered the room, I assume the date went well?" He quirked an eyebrow at me.
"Yeah, it was." I mumbled taking out my pyjama and a t-shirt from my wardrobe.
Before I walked inside the bathroom to change, I saw Kyle seething with anger.
I closed the bathroom door with a confuse tilt of my head. There was no way Kyle was angry. My mind was probably playing tricks on me.
I discarded these thoughts away and got changed before exiting the bathroom to find Kyle still seated on my bed but he had a calm demeanour which didn't settle well with me.
Something seemed off.
I walked towards my bed and waited for Kyle to move away but he didn't. "Kyle, I am tired. Can you move?" I yawned rubbing my eyes sleepily.
Kyle stared at me for a long time as I waited for him to move away.
I laid down on my bed when he moved away and stood up beside my bed.
I turned my back to him and closed my eyes, the feel of his eyes boring on my back made it difficult to sleep.
I didn't hear him move, there was a pin drop silence and an eerie feeling set in the room. I almost felt the temperature dropped to zero degrees and my stomach twisted in knots in anticipation of what was going to happen soon.
"Do you like Owen?"
I heard him whisper in the full lit dorm room of ours. I didn't bother to answer him and pretended to sleep thinking he would let it go but I should have known he wouldn't.
"Rose." With my back still facing him, I kept the act up of pretend sleep thinking he'd buy it. "I know you're not sleeping so you better answer me Rose." His voice dripped with annoyance and authority.
I wanted to scoff at his audacity to order me around and I did exactly that.
With a loud scoff, I sat up on my bed and glared at him. "What's with the tone?" I bit the words out.
Kyle didn't seem effected by reaction instead he looked more annoyed. "Just answer my damn question." His voice low and almost growl like. When I refused to say a word, he narrowed his eyes on me. "Answer me Rose. Do you like Owen?" His face lucidly showed disdain when he asked me that question.
My forehead creased in confusion at his reaction. "Why does it matter to you?"
I didn't let my head swim in the thoughts of Owen's words because I didn't want to expect anything until I see it for myself.
