Two hours later we arrived home and I now had a blue cast on my leg. We were all walking into the house when Dal stopped me out on the porch. "Sam wait." "What? I kinda wanna go sit down." I replied impatiently. "I uh....I like the way you handled yourself back there," he said, slow like he didn't know what to say. "What do you mean the way I handled myself?" I asked. "The way you kept going even when you were hurt. And I'll admit it. I figured your leg was gonna break as soon I seen the way you were limping. I shoulda said something but it was gonna break anyway. But you didn't act like you were in as much pain as knew you were in. Good job. I gotta ask you though what did those Socs do to you?" he questioned. I shook my head. "No one really wants to know that." I admitted. He nodded knowingly. I was standing there trying to balance myself. "Can I go sit now?" I asked. "One more thing." He said before kissing me. I was shocked especially because most of my dreams are just lies. "Really Dallas? You know this means imma have to kill you now," Darry yelled running out of the house followed by Soda. Dallas took off running. I laughed as my brothers chased him. It kinda felt like reality because my leg was in a cast, but it also felt like a dream because, in a way, Dal just confessed his feelings for me. Darry finally caught up to him and tackled him. "Darry don't kill me yet!" Dal managed to laugh. "Hey, Dare don't kill him!" I yelled. I heard him mutter a few words to Dallas then back off. Dal came running back up and helped me into the house. I sat down on the couch and dal plopped down beside me. Two-bit had already turned Mickey Mouse on. For the rest of the evening I watched Mickey with the gang and got waited on hand and foot by all of them.
