I was awoken that morning as Mr. Beaver rushed out of the dam and into the fresh morning air. But he looked panicked
"Where did he go in such a rush?" I asked Mrs. Beaver as I stretched. She looked very sad.
"Mr. Tummnus was taken away by the Secret Police this morning", She said.
I froze mid stretch and ran for the door. Mr. Tummnus was a very loving faun and one of my dearest friends. I wonder why they would take him away as I ran after Mr. Beaver.
I saw him crouch behind a snow bank and I joined him. He was holding a handkerchief like his life depended on it.
"Willow you shouldn't have come here they could still be searching the area", he warned but I never moved.
I just sat there with him for awhile. After a few minutes I heard some rustling from up ahead. There were four children walking along the path.
The first one was very small obviously a child. She had short brown hair and big blue eyes. The second one was older and obviously her sister she had longer dark brown hair and green eyes. The third was the oldest he had a light brown goldish colored hair and beautiful blue eyes. The fourth had dark brown almost black hair and brown eyes. He was the boy I had seen the previous night.
I saw the the little one stop dead in her tracks a look of horror on her face. I followed her gaze to the door that was smashed in. She sprinted to it and vanished inside the others hot on her trail.
I saw them looking around the small little house when they found a note left by Morgrum head of the secret police. I saw them exchange words like they were arguing when Mr. Beaver some what spoke up.
"Psst!" he said.
The children looked up at a bird sitting on a branch. I laughed a little at them thinking the bird had said it. They slowly made their way out very wearily. Mr. Beaver rustled some leaves and they looked down right terrified. When Mr. Beaver made himself visble you could visibly see them relax.
"I- Its a beaver", the youngest said in disbelief. The oldest stepped forward with his hand out stretched.
"Here boy, here boy", he said inching closer to Mr. Beaver. He looked at the boys hand then at the boy.
"I ain't gonna smell it if that want you want", he stated.
I laughed at their faces of disbelief. I guess that they heard me because they looked at my spot behind the rock. I jumped up and perched my self on the rock. I heard the young one laugh.
The boy looked slightly embarrassed and mumbled a sorry. Mr.Beaver got to the point and said the youngest ones name.
"Lucy Pevensie?" he asked. She immediately stopped laughing and looked shocked.
"Y- Yes?" She stuttered stepping forward. Mr. Beaver held out the handkerchief to her. She took it and a look of recognition crossed her face.
"Hey thats the hanky I gave to Mr.-" she started.
"Mr. Tummnus he got it to me just before they took him", Mr. Beaver finshed for her.
"Is he alright?" she asked. Mr. Beaver looked around then pointed behind us and said.
"Not here farther in", he said walking away.
"What are you doing?" the older girl asked.
"She's right how do we know we can trust him?" the youngest boy asked. The older one looked up.
"He said he knows the faun."
"He's a beaver he shouldn't be saying anything, " the girl argued. That when I decided to step in.
"Everything alright?" I asked jumping from my perch.
"And the cat talks to!" the girl exclaimed. The boy glared at her.
"Yes we were just talking", he replied.
"Thats better left for safer quarters", I said looking around.
"She means the trees", Lucy said looking up.
They all looked at each other before following. We walked in silence for awhile until lucy spoke up.
"So whats you're name?" she asked looking at me.
"Willow what about you", I asked looking back at her.
"I am Lucy and this is my sister Susan and my brothers Peter and Edmund" she introduced.
They all smiled and nodded when she said their names except Edmund he just glared at me. ' This is going to be fun' I thought to myself before following Mr. Beaver
