We had made it back to the dam when I heard something.

"Shh everyone. Did you hear that?" I asked looking up.

In the distance there we heard the howls of Morgrums forces.

"Hurry momma their after us!" Beaver yelled as he burst through the door.

"Right then", Mrs. Beaver started scurring around packing things.

"What's she doing?" Peter asked.

"You'll be thanking me later its a long journey and Beaver gets cranky when he's hungry." She said and continued packing.

"I am cranky now!" he protested.

I heard a familiar wolf's voice outside. I was the only one who could here because of my powers that enhanced the senses but it was eerie either way.

"Take them", Morgrum ordered.

Wolves started to dig at the dam trying to get in.

"Do you think we'll need jam?" Susan asked.

"Only if the witch serves toast", Peter said which earned him a glare from Susan.

"Quick in here!" I yelled. I opened a door that led to the tunnel under the dam. I helped Beaver dig it a while back.

The beavers went first followed by Peter Susan and Lucy. I brought up the rear.

"Willow helped Badger and me dig this tunnel, it comes up right around his place." Mr. Beaver explained.

"You told me it led to you're mum's", Mrs. Beaver said.

We heard howls and barks farther back in the tunnel.

"They're in the tunnel! Hurry!" I urged. Lucy tripped over a root and I caught her before she hit the ground. She smiled at me and Peter gave a nod of thanks.

We reached the end of the tunnel and I helped everyone up through the exit.

I then made my up. I saw that Lucy had tripped over some woodland creatures that were turned to stone. I helped Peter roll a barrel in front of the exit. I saw Perer look around.

I saw Badger and walked up to him. He was stone.

"He was my best mate," Beaver said looking at his old friend.

"I'm so sorry dear," Mrs. Beaver said trying to comfort him.

"What happend here?" Peter asked looking at me.

"This is what becomes of those who cross the witch", We heard a voice come from one of the roofs. I looked up and saw a fox.

"Take one more step traitor and I'll shred you," I said unshealthing my sword.

"Relax I am one of the good guys," He said jumping down.

"Well you look an awful lot like one of the bad ones," I snarled.

"Yes an unfornate family resemblance. but we can argue breeding later right now we've got to move," he said as howls we heard from the tunnel.

"What do you have in mind?" Peter asked.

Next thing I knew was that we were in a tree. We saw the fox down below covering our tracks when the wolves burst from the tunnel and surrounded him.

"Greetings gents, lost something have we?" He asked looking at the wolves surrounding him.

"Don't patronize me, I know where you're allegiance lies. We're looking for some humans." Morgrum growled.

"Humans here in Narnia? Thats a bit of valuable information don't you think?" He laughed.

A wolf jumped and clamped is teeth down on his back. I heard Lucy and Mr. Beaver gasp. If it wasn't for Peters hand on my wrist I would've jumped down and killed them all.

"You're reward is you're life, it's not much but still," Morgrum growled.

The fox looked around and looked defeated.

"Where are the fugitives?"

"North they're heading north," He sighed.

"Smell them out," Morgrum ordered.

The wolf threw the fox to side. With a yelp he collapsed.

We soon got a fire going and Mrs. Beaver was stitching up his wound.

"They were helping Tumnus and the Witch got here before I did," The fox said explaing what happened to the animals.

"Ow!" He yelped.

"Stop squirming your worse then Beaver on bath day," Mrs. Beaver exclaimed.

"Worse day of the year," Beaver said.

"Thank you for you're kindness but I am afraid that's all I have time for," He said standing up.

"Your leaving?" Lucy and I asked at the same time. He looked amused.

"It's been a pleasure my Queen, and an honor to meet you Great Guardian, but time is short and Aslan has asked me to gather more troops." The beaver gasped.

"You've seen Aslan?" They asked.

"Whats he like?" Mrs. Beaver asked.

"Like everything we've ever heard," He replied. I looked down at my hands.

"You'll be lucky to have him at you're side when you fight against the Witch," he said looking at Peter.

"But we don't plan on fighting any Witch," Susan said.

"But surely you King Peter and Willow?" he asked looking at us.

"Look we just want our brother back," Peter answered.

"I will no matter what," I said determined.

The fox left soon after. We soon fell asleep, I was ready to take on the next day.
