Tragedy has Struck...

A few months have passed as Ben and Mal began planning for their wedding. They both knew that this would have to be a huge wedding, due to Ben being King, and the people wanting to witness the ceremony as well.

It was a relatively cloudy Saturday, and Ben had to go to a ribbon-cutting ceremony that opened up a new elementary school for those children that were still too young to attend Auradon Prep. Ben went by himself, as Mal wasn't feeling her best and he didn't want her to get even worse, so he offerred (insisted) that she stayed at the castle while he went.

It had been at least 3 hours since he left, and Mal was beginning to worry. He should have been home by now, she thought. She tried calling him, 3 times, and it all went to voicemail. After about 20 minutes later, she heard her phone light up and buzz. She quickly ran over and picked it up, assuming that it was Ben calling her back.

"Ben?! Ben, where are you?! Shouldn't you be home by now?" but the voice that responded back to her wasn't of her fiancé's.

"Lady Mal?" the voice, one of a male's, on the other end asked. "Who is this?" Mal questioned, just a bit too harshly. "Lady Mal. It's me, Tony.." That was the name of the limo driver in charge of driving Ben earlier. "Tony, what's wrong, where's Ben?!" she questioned him. She heard another voice in the background. "Somethi-Something happened. The car crashed. We're at the hospital right now" And those words were enough to make Mal's heart drop to her stomach. She quickly ended the call and ran out of the room, to try and find Belle and Adam, when she spotted them, seeming as if they were looking for her too. She ran over to them, and said:

"Ben"

the looks on their faces were enough to tell her that they knew what had happened. She nodded at them and quickly got into the other limo, and drove to the hospital.

They ran into the hospital as fast as they could. They ran up to the receptionist, who recognized them immediately. She gave them a sad look and said "He'll be in room 653"

Once they got there, they saw Tony sitting on a chair, with his arm in a sling. He saw them and stood up. "Your majesties. Lady Mal" he said as be bowed. Just as they were about to say something. The doctor came out, with a rather somber look on his face.

He slowly looked up to them, and said the 4 words that no mother and father ever wanted to hear about their son. That Mal never wanted to hear about her fiancé.

"I'm sorry.. He's gone.."

A/N: I'M SO SORRY GUYS!! I lied to you. I thought I would be able to update on that Saturday, but I couldn't. I won't lie, I just haven't been feeling like writing for now. I will not give up on this story though, but just expect chapters to be a bit of a delay. I'll explain more after these shoutouts:

Anyways, the reason I haven't been able to update is because a few things have been going on. Nothing extreme though, just some personal stuff. So my best friend(she's pretty much my sister) was so kind enough to let me use her Netflix account in order to watch a show that I've been dying to watch and have finally finished watching: Stranger Things. So yeah, I've kinda become sucked into that fandom, but I still hang on to my Descendants love.
