*8 months later// Third Person POV*
8 months later found Mal walking through the beautiful gardens of the castle. She was wearing a beautiful yet simple dress.
With her hair in a beautiful, loose bun.
A sight like her was far too beautiful that it blew Ben's breath away. He's had many dreams, all of which involved Mal in his future.
Their future.
He had plans. He had so many plans, that involved them both. But was she ready?
Watching her through the window of his office, he decided to go out and join her.
She was sitting down on a stone bench with beautiful carvings in it, seemingly looking at the sunset and flowers, but her mind, as if somewhere else.
"Penny for your thoughts?" He asked her. Her head snapped towards him, but as she saw who it was, she gave a small but genuine smile.
"Hey" he told her, as he joined her in sitting down. "You look so peaceful here I thought it'd be nice to join you." She gave him another smile.
"Oh you know. I'm just looking at the sunset.... It's beautiful" she remarked.
"Not as beautiful as the sight I'm looking at"
Mal turned to see what he meant, only to find him looking straight at her. She breathed out and chuckled while shaking her head.
"You're cheesy" "Yeah, but you know you love it when I am" he teased her. "Mm, maybe.." she looked at him in the eyes as they both leaned in for a kiss.
Once they pulled apart, she leaned her head against his shoulder.
For the past 8 months, it's been nothing but peace here in Auradon, and for the couple. Of course there was the frustrating job of being King and Queen, what with leading meetings with the sidekicks, the council, visiting and touring, as well as the press.
Ben's done his absolute hardest to avoid the press, as he knew the kinds of questions they'd be asking. Things like when they were going to get married, or when they were going to give an heir for the kingdom.
He didn't want those questions to reach Mal because he knew she wouldn't react lightly. They were the most sensitive subjects to talk about, due to certain events that's most likely ruined Mal's point of view on marriage and children, so he knew staying away from them and keeping her away would be for the best.
They spent about 10 more minutes in that position, watching the sunset go down, the breeze surrounding them.
Now.
