*Mal's POV*

Looking outside the window in our..

My bedroom, it makes me think about how my life was perfect back then. We were going to get married. Supposed to. We were supposed to have kids, rule over Auradon and the Isle together. Then once our reign was done, we'd watch our kids grow, and rule after us. We were supposed to grow old together.

He was the sun in my life. The one who brought happiness and sunshine while I was the storm. The one that brought messes and rage. We were happy.

Until one day,

The sun never rose again..

*Richard's POV*

After Mal had left me alone in the room, I immediately started thinking of a plan on how to win her over. Of course, I was never going to get answers from her unless I knew of something that would for sure get her to open up to me.

When I heard that my slightly older cousin, Ben, was going to be taking the throne adter my uncle I was overcome with rage and anger. He wasn't right to become King because I was. Ben was too soft on people, and that kind of behavior gets Auradon to no where. And, by the situation now, also got him killed. I smirk to myself as I think about the car accident.

Yeah. I may or may not have been responsible for getting the King, my cousin, get killed.

I was watching the news and saw that Ben had proposed to Mal, and was going to make her queen. I saw this as my chance to take over. If he was going to make Mal queen, I needed to get rid of Ben in order to marry Mal. So I came over to my uncle King Beast's castle and looked for the limos. I found the one that Ben had arrived to the castle in, so as soon as he left, I creeped over. I reach into the backpack that I brought with me and carefully pulled a bomb out from it and placed it underneath car towards the front of the limo. I watched carefully until I saw Ben finally go inside. I followed the car with my motorcycle that my parents bought me for my birthday a couple years back. It stopped at a stop light so I took this as my chance to blow it. I drove away to a safe distance and set it off. I saw a car look at me just as I did and hit the back of the limo, thus, creating the "car accident" reason for his death.

It still makes me smile of how proud I was of myself that my plan had worked better than I thought it would. And now that I was chosen to succeed Ben, my plan to marry Mal and take over Auradon is finally in place...

*Mal's POV*

"I don't want to marry him Evie!" I tell my best friend. "I-I can't" I say as tears start to gather in my eyes. She looks at me with a pitying face. I know that it wasn't fair of me to bombard her with all my problems but I had no one else to turn to.

"Mal" she says in a very calm and soothing voice. "There's nothing else we can do. I think you should just try and give him a chance. Maybe Richard may not be that bad" she tries to tell me.

No. I don't want to give him a chance. My heart closed out anyone who tried to enter as soon as I heard that he was gone.
"I can't Evie. I can't do that" I settle with saying instead. She sighs and thinks for a moment what to say, then settles with saying
"Okay. So if you can't marry him with your heart, then think of Auradon. Don't you think Ben would want you to think fo Auradon first?"

I knew what she was trying to do. But she had a point. All this. Everything that I do as queen, is for him. I nod and say, with a trembling voice,

"Okay"

A/N: I will try to update again later tonight but it's about 5:31 pm where I'm at right now, so if I can't update again today, I most definitely will try tomorrow. Hope you liked this chapter. The very first part at the beginning that started with Mal's POV then switched to Richard's felt kinda awkward to me since I wanted to incorporate that paragraph about the sun and storm with Mal's pov but idk, I hope you guys liked this chapter. The next chapter I probably will either have a Mal and Richard moment or, a cgapter going back to Ben and Chloe, but with Ben starting to "figure things out" ;))

P.S: Oh Also! The video up top was just a song that I had heard somewhere so I searched it up and found the music video and I was really tempted to use it so. I didn't really fit the chapter so I might use it for a different one. And if anyone of you know how to edit pictures or maybe even videos, I know it's a lot to ask from you guys but it would mean a lot if you guys were to send them in to me, but I will still give credit if you do turn them in to me of course and keep the ideas coming in because I really do appreciate you guys helping me out!
