I knew it was coming, ever since kindergarten. I never thought it would fly by so fast. Moving day, ugh. I can't even say it without my eyes watering like Niagara Falls. I pretty much spent my whole life here.
"Hey Cass, I know it doesn't feel good right now, but it will get better" said my dad " trying" to help.
" How do you know, dad? We could move there and it could be a nightmare for the next three years of my life! The worst part of all that is I don't even have a say in it!" I exclaimed while bolting away. He tried telling me to come back but it was too late, I was running from my problems like always.
After I got so tired I couldn't even run anymore, I found myself down on the boardwalk looking over the waving waters of the Pacific Ocean.
" Cassidy Ann Thomas, you gave me a workout." My dad complained running up behind me. He was breathing hard as if the world was losing oxygen.
I ignored him and sat down on a wooden bench twirling my golden blonde hair.
Unfortunately he wouldn't leave me be, so he sat right next to me.
"Is all this about moving or is it about something else?" My dad asked
" I don't know! I guess it is a little bit about everything!" I shouted
"Calm down, if you want we can go get doughnut's from Britts" he said with a hopeful sound in his voice.
He knows I'm in love with their creamy, warm, moist dou- snap out of it. I just smiled and turned away. As I was pouting I looked back and noticed he was gone, finally.
He doesn't know what I'm going through, but my best friend in the whole wide world does.
That is when I immediately pull out my iPhone and called her on speed dial. She answered in seconds.
"Cass! Shush don't say anything, I don't care what it is for, but I will be over there in any minute. I wanted to get out of this prison they call a house anyway, bye!" Danielle said
That is what I love about Dani she is more than just a friend, but a sister. She is loyal, smart, funny, and weird. Correction really weird, but so am I. That is why we are such great friends.
The only thing that bugs me about her is that she is always reminding me that I am as pale as a vampire.
But that is nothing because I am white as paper compared to everyone else in California. I hope it isn't like that in Wilmington, nc.
Ring ring
Oh crap! It was Dani, I better get home fast. Knowing her she was probably over there ten minutes ago.
