When I woke up from my nice long cat nap, I looked out the window. We were here. It was night so I really couldn't see anything, so I imagined it. Ugly building there, run down school over here, appalling houses everywhere.
"We are turning into our neighborhood now" my dad said
Oh look, our dreadful tour ends here. Here at the Thomas residents, aka now our new house.
"Yay" I said in a sarcastic tone
"Guess what, on Monday you get to start at your new school" he said cheerfully (Ugh kill me now)
"Please dad, don't make "school" sound exciting. Cause it most definitely is not, especially not here." I had a smart alec expression on my face.
I could tell he did not like that so I changed the subject.
"So where do you work?" I tried to sound happy.
" I work in the office by your new hospital"
He is in the coast guard. We got to stay in California for my whole life ,luckily, this was our first move but still the hardest. We stayed in Cali for all my life. That is where my home is and nothing is changing that.
" I also signed you up for soccer here, it is called PISA." he said
Yes! The only good thing coming out of all of this!
" When is my first practice?" I said excitingly
" Tuesday"
We pulled into our new driveway, I stared at our house. it wasn't too terribly bad.
It was two story, a stone concrete house, a big back yard, and a it sits in a nice little col de sac.
"Not too shabby dad."
He was glad to hear that.
It was a big neighborhood, I hope there is a lot of kids my age.
When we unlocked our new house it was huge! Granite counter tops, marble flooring, it was like a dream.
I rushed up stairs to see my room. It was also big. It had a walking closet, my own bathroom, and a sky light window on the roof. It also has a chandelier, you can even change the settings to rainbow! This was truly AMAZING.
He even bought me new furniture. He bought me a loft bed with a lap top on the desk at the bottom. There was even a flat screen tv hanging on the wall.
I'll give it to my dad, he was really trying. So I will to.
Either I was so amazed I passed out on my bed or I was just really tired because I slept like a baby for the rest of the night.
