Chapter 10

Right when we got to the bus stop I saw Cathy bolt across the road without even looking for cars. All you could hear was screeches, horns, and screams.

Cathy ignored all of that drama ran up to a girl and hugged her. She was pretty, she had medium straight dark brown hair, and was tan.

"That is Katie, they have been besties for years now" Bella informed me

"I remember that feeling, I wish I had my best friend here" I whispered so no one could here me

I sat down on a tree stump just staring at the ground, until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around hopeful it was Luke, but it was not.

It was a girl my age. She had long dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She was very pretty, but looked angry at me.

" Who do you think you are?!?! That is were I sit, so if I were you I would scooch your butt somewhere else, before I do it for you!" she said

Suddenly I did not like her nor think she was pretty, she was horrible! I wanted to punch her in the face so hard it would smack her into next year! But I freaked out and got all shy.

"S-so-sorry i'll move, sorry again" I said

"Sis, why do you have to be so rude to our new neighbor"

Uh oh, who just said that.... that voice sounds familiar from the cookout. I quickly spun around to see.....Luke!!!

"Whatever" she rolled her eyes and got on her iPhone.

I'm shocked, how can a horned devil like her, be related to such a perfect, hot angel like Luke!

Luke started walking to me.

Oh my gosh! What do I do!?!?

Act cool, just pretend that she didn't bother you.

Yeah, that is good advi-. Hey! What are you saying 'act' cool, I am cool, I'm you!

"Hey, sorry about Lexi, she isn't the most polite around here." Luke said

I leaned against a fence, it felt wobbly and old.

"Oh hey, it's cool. I like it ove-" SNAP! "AHHH!" I screeched

The fence broke and I thought I was going to fall into the pond by it. But I don't want to swim with fishies!!!

But then, Luke caught my hand. He pulled me up and returned me to the ground, sweet, sweet ground.

"Thanks! You have really quick reflexes!" I was astonished

"Haha, thanks. Without me you would've been fish food!" he said

We glared into each other's eyes smiling for a while until it got uncomfortable for me. I had to snap out of it.

"You can let go of my hand now" I told him

" Oh! Right! Sorry!" he looked embarrassed, his face turned a bright red like a tomato.

That is when the bus came. I ran to get my book bag and went inside the stinky, old, faded yellow bus.

I sat next to Bella and looked up. That is when I saw Lexi's face staring me down in an evil glare. Great on the first day of school, I made my first enemy.
