The Last Horcrux (Harry Potter Fanfic)

Revenge

     "How dare you three get split up from the class!" McGonagall hissed at them.

     "But Octavia and I left our wands there! And we had to go get them!"

     "No excuses! You three were this  close to dying! Did you hear me? This close! Luckily a 7th year was there searching the castle. You are lucky that you are not dead, Miss Kings. Detention, all of you!"

     They all groaned. RIck had brought them into the forest, away from others along with McGonagall.  There, she gave them a huge tirade, and was now leading them back. Nicole heard a snicker and turned around to see Malfoy. She wanted to punch him. And Monica, who was there laughing at them. After the castle had been searched by 7th years, it was all clear to go in, but the castle would be guarded by dementors, which were huge and scary. Nicole, Octavia, and Raven went back to the dormitory, as instructed by McGonagall. Every student had the rest of the day off, but was to stay in the common rooms, unless they had detention. Nicole just sat on her bed. She looked outside to the Forbidden Forest.  Detention would take place there soon. The three of them went down to the dormitory, where surprise, surprise Monica was there. She strutted over to them.

     "Oh, Miss Kings, how do you do it? Detention? I thought only losers could get Detention in the first week of school. Actually, that would explain why you got it and not me. So, Miss Kings, does your mother know you have detention? Oh, that's right, your parents went insane! Ha!"

     Nicole was about to slap her, when her hand moved down to her side. All Nicole did, was just walk away.

     "Awwww, Miss Kings is just a little bit scared... Baby Kings is scared."

     Nicole just walked out with her friends, and went to detention.Surprisingly, Rick was there.

     "Hello, idiots. I am Rick. I got detention duty today, so you all just gotta shut up and get through this, 'k? 'K. Alright. Go."

     Everyone walked into the forest. Nicole, Octavia, and Raven stood by Rick. Most of the kids at detention split up after awhile, but Rick didn't care. Nicole started to talk and interrupt the silence.

     "So, Rick. We never formally introduced one another. Nicole Kings."

     "Rick Arrow."

     "So... what were all the Death Eaters about?"

     "Nothing. We are not really sure yet. There are rumors that... Voldemort is back."

     "But he can't be! Harry killed him! His scar has never hurt him since!"

     "Ya, but the horcrux that was in Harry is dead, so now his scar doesn't hurt him."

     "But still, Harry killed him."

     "Nicole! I told you we don't know all of the details!"

     "Ya, but Harry did kill him."

     "I heard you THE FIRST TIME, Nicole."

     "Ya, I know... So, why would Voldemort want his Death Eaters to go to Hogwarts? Wouldn't they want revenge on Harry?"

     "Ya, but they have a new target. Most likely Harry's children. Harry is too famous and too well guarded. There is press always around him somewhere. So if you can't destroy Harry, destroy what is closest to him."

     Nicole shivered. She, herself, was decently evil, but she would never do that.
