The Princess
Every time he touched me it sent waves of pleasure through my body and right now Bellamy’s hand had found a resting spot on my lower back as we made our way into a camp full of arguing criminals. Their faces were both filled with worry, anger, and fright. What had happened while we were going two day? And just as Bellamy and I got closer to the group, that was when people began to see us, calling us out for help. His hand dropped from the small of my back to rest against his side, his face hardening at the sight of the distressed.
“Bellamy! Clarke!” Most of them were crying out to us as Miller walked up to us saying. “Most of us, because of the food rations, were in a hallucination and during that time the Grounder we held in the drop ship escaped. We don’t know how he got out or even who let him out for that matter but he knows where we are, our weaknesses. He could bring the other Grounders with him.”
“Let them come.” Bellamy called out. “We have been hiding for too long! We need weapons that can help us take these bastards out one by one and tonight Clarke and I found those weapons.” And together we moved the guns from behind our back to rest in front of us. “Gun will kill them faster than an axe or as spear.”
“And that’s what they’ll be used for, only the grounders and only when needed.” I spoke up. “The spears and the axes can be used for the kill of our food but these guns are not toys. They are our survival against the grounders themselves.”
“Only a few will have access to the guns.” Bellamy added. We were feeding off one another’s words making our speech better for The Hundred to understand. “Me, Clarke, Miller, the guards on duty when watching the gate and that’s all. Others will eventually be trained in handling guns but for now we need the experienced to handle these. Now with these guns we also bring blankets to help us through our first winter here on Earth. We may have left to find medicine, might I add we didn’t find, but we came back with something that can help us survive till then.” And with a gleam in his eye, he smirked at me sideways. “We can finally survive! No more losses because the grounders are more powerful! We have the upper hand now!”
The whole crowd cheered at his word. All throwing their fists into the air and cheering for what we can now accomplish.
“Now everyone get back to work.” He sighed heavily. “We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow if we want to find how much the grounders know of our new discovery. As for blankets for those of you who need one we will be distributing them within the hour at the drop ship.” And with that Bellamy put his hand back on the small of my back before pushing me off toward the drop ship whispering. “We need a place to put these guns, away from those who will use them against us.”
I nodded. “We can always make where we held the grounder our room for storing important things, like the guns, until we find a better spot. Have Miller or some other person keep an eye on the guns to make sure no one takes them, I mean I’m in there most of the time with the sick and injured so we’d only need someone watching them at night.”
He nodded. “Miller!”
Within seconds, Miller was next to us. “What’s up?”
