Hansol POV
—
I jump up once I heard the sound of the doors being pushed open, Joshua was alright. "When will he wake up?" I ask, the surgeon glances at the clock on the wall, "Maybe in about half an hour. Or in 2 hours time." He turns to me, "We're concerned about the wounds all over him, if they don't heal properly he'll be left with scars." he says, "Is there something that I can do about it? Wouldn't aloe vera cream work?" I ask, "We could try but they might not disappear completely." "I'll take my chances," I tell him, and he nods. "Apart from that there should be not much left to worry about." the doctor says, "Make sure not to exert him too much for preferably 6 months, and make sure he doesn't do any sport for the next month or so." He says.
I thank the surgeon and make my way to Joshua's room.
I smile, seeing Sooyoung in there with a bouquet of flowers. "Hey young'un." She says after we greet each other, "I forgot to ask, but what's you're name?" "My name's Hansol." She nods, "Sounds like a nice name. If only I actually knew what it meant."
I turn to look at the machine next to Joshua, his heart rate and oxygen levels seemed normal. "Poor boy..." She mutters, "Nobody, be it a man, woman, boy or girl would ever deserve something so terrible." she leaves the flowers on the foot of the bed. I look at my roses, examining all the different colours and going over them in my head.
White represented his innocence, cream represented my appreciation towards him, peach represented my gratitude towards him, salmon represented my desire for him, pink represented his sweetness, lavender represented his undying charms, and red represented the romance between us.
"You should feel grateful, I made sure that they chose me as your nurse," Sooyoung says, and I put a finger over my lips, motioning for her to speak a bit more quietly. She rolls her eyes at me, "Anyways, if there's anything you need, just ring the bell at the side of the bed." I looked at where she was talking about. "What do you mean? There is no bell." She smacks her forehead, "Dammit! I forgot they changed it to a button! Anyways, just press the button and if it's not me, a nurse will come to help you." I nod, "Alright, thanks."
She makes her way to the door, "Ok, now I'll be back in a few hours I just need to get some paperwork done." She waves, "Remember, if you need anything just ring the be-FUCK sorry, I meant 'press the button!'"
I hear a small noise from my side, I turn to see Joshua had huddled himself into a small ball. "Stop it stop it stop it stop it stop it!" He whimpered in a small voice. I hold his face in my hands, "Shh calm down it's alright you're with me now." I whisper, even though he was still asleep I still try calming him down. "H-Hansol?" He asks, "Is that really you?" He grabs my hand, holding it against his cheek. "I was so scared without you, I thought I would never see you again." He sobs, "I'm so glad I'm with you now." I kiss his fingertips, "I'm so happy that you're safe now." I think he might still be half-asleep, the effects of ketamine and morphine making him drowsy. "You know, I wanted you to take me on your birthday." He states, and I do admit I was a little taken back from the new-learned information. "But then the night before, someone took me away from you." He continues, "How long was I gone for?" he asks. "About a month." I answer.
