3rd Person POV

Joshua shuffled uncomfortably in the courtroom, reaching over and grasping for his boyfriend's hand. "I'm scared." He whispered, knowing that he's going to have to face his father again. "Don't worry, nobody's going to hurt you," Hansol reassured, "you'll be fine." he gave the older boy a small peck on the cheek. Though Joshua felt slightly calmer, he was still having mini panics, trying not to scream in frustration. He'd hoped that he'd never have to see that disgusting face ever again because now, any time he saw his father, he could only remember the pain and humiliation.

Additionally, the fact that the other men would also be there deeply disturbed him. They were the ones who assaulted him every hour, tortured him, starved and even force-fed him. They'd seen him in his worst times and they were going to be in the same room as him again. Joshua wished that they could've been placed in separate rooms or even brought in on a separate day than them but apparently, the courthouse was on a tight schedule and didn't have any more available times.

Hansol heard Joshua's breath hitch loudly and almost instantaneously he saw what had scared him so much. His father, Ye-Eun and her father and a group of other men entering the courtroom in handcuffs and surrounded by a group of security guards. Hansol pursed his lips when Ye-Eun made eye contact with him, giving a shy smile that Hansol knew was probably complete manipulative bullshit.

They took their seats, and the judge was ready to start. Everyone knew they were all guilty but they needed to determine the sentences for the criminals and probably find out unveil some truths.

---*skip a bit since I don't really know much about what happens in a courtroom sorry*---

"Park Ye-Eun, what made you decide to go through with your...plan...?" The judge asked, and the young girl paused for a while, before she started to talk. Hansol and Joshua listened intently, wanting to know the reason behind this whole mess.

"I..." She paused for a while, putting her words together. "I really like this boy, he's so kindhearted and I just love everything about him but he's...in love with someone else."  Ye-Eun continued to talk, "I just got so mad at the other boy, I wanted him to suffer. I wanted to humiliate him, to make him go through what I had to go through." That part seemed to surprise most people. "What do you mean by 'suffering'?" The judge asked, and Ye-Eun went on, clenched fists shaking a bit in her lap. "My dad likes to do things. The same things Jisoo's father does-did to him."  She quickly corrected herself on the last part.

A few people started scribbling down notes, this was a completely new side of the story and it cleared up a lot of things. Joshua looked at the girl with sad eyes, and Hansol noticed this. The younger could tell what he was thinking and to be completely honest, his opinion kind of changed a bit too even though it still didn't mean she was innocent or not even partly responsible for what happened.

"THAT'S BULLSHIT!" Ye-Eun's father screamed, face now red and seething with sudden rage. "I have never even laid a finger on your hair! The only reason I'm even here today is because your mother was dumb enough to get herself KILLED 10 years ago! And now you've decided to blame me for your own stupid acts? I should've thrown you out on the street when I had the chance, you dumb bitch!" Little did he know, he was really just contradicting himself, pretty much just pointing a gun at his own head. "Now you're the one making rape accusations about me? You piece of shit, nobody wants to touch an inch of your filthy skin. I don't understand why you're even saying this nonsense when you should actually be grateful that I took the time to raise you after your whore of a mother just decided to die."

Two security guards quickly restrained the crazy man as soon as he began beating Ye-Eun right in their seats, striking her face and clawing at her neck as she screamed for him to get away.

They now had a new suspect to the case, and things were becoming clearer and clearer with every passing second.

The judges proceeded to ask Joshua and Ye-Eun a series of some more questions, occasionally asking for the others as well. Hansol was sure to glare at the men whenever they looked over. He had to be certain that they got the message that he hated them with every inch of his body.

Joshua's father glared right back, almost as if he was blaming Hansol for everything that happened. It's not like he cared though, he knew Jisoo's father was a bad man, but he also knew that whatever sentence he faced definitely wasn't going to be enough to balance out everything he forced his son to go through.

He was on a whole new level of fucked up that Hansol even thought was remotely possible, how did he actually think that he would be able to get away with such heinous crimes? Did he actually think it was ok to do what he did? Even if he didn't, he probably didn't care. As long as he had what he wanted, Hansol suspected that the geezer probably didn't care about anything else. It was also pretty obvious in the lack of hygiene.

Under the table, Joshua was fidgeting almost furiously, desperate for the whole ordeal to be over as quickly as possible. Hansol quickly noticed and calmly placed his hand over the older's as if to say "Don't worry, everything will be ok."

Then, the room filled with a loud 'bang-bang-bang!' as the judge passed the first sentence.

"Park Ye-Eun. You are innocent on account of insanity."
