"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force."
- Isaac Newton's First Law of Motion, also known as the Law of Inertia
I see you again
Couldn't remember why I did
I was just walking with a friend
My eyes had probed
On you who was far ahead
Wearing a shade so familiar
Yet new on your profile
It had happened twice
On that same day
Hours before I had to cry
Because my keepers wanted
To take away my dreams
My reason to live
They do not understand
But you do
You saw my passion
And it almost disappeared with you
In their eyes
I am a disappointment
A fragile being who breaks the intangible
Seeking what could have been sought
But I didn't know it then
Their tone underlying threats
They tried not to conceal
Yes, this is all my fault
I had to figure it out
All by myself
Is how I feel
And you
I made you a distraction
A problem high above my list of worries
Since you make me forget
And reminisce at the same time
They blur when you come near
And you fade with a goodbye
While the memories flash repeatedly
In Technicolor
I see your name again and again
I want to open the door
But I expect you to turn the knob
And make the first move
Agony all over
Because I forget the laws
The laws of filiality
The laws of motion
Blood is thicker than water
Two won't collide without a greater force
We won't speak unless someone starts
Stop it, stop it
I am a nuisance to the elderly
Another rule violated
And it's 12:12
My inner hunger never satiated
