"Anna I don't know how many times I'm going to have to call you, get up" A voice yelled. I couldn't tell if I was dreaming or if someone was trying to wake me up. Deciding it was a dream I rolled over and tried to continue with my previous dream."You've got to be kidding me Anna" was all I heard, before I was shoved harshly, resulting in me landing on the floor, and a loud groan escaping from my mouth. I looked up from the mess of sheets covering my face to see Aura stood there, watching me with an amused look on her face.
"Aura you have 5 seconds to disappear from my sight," I said, watching amusement flash in her eyes. The countdown didn't even begin before she had disappeared screaming down the stairs. I closed my door, locking it behind me. I sighed and stared lovingly at my bed deciding not to go back to sleep, I grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans and my baby blue jumper. I opened my door to see a grinning Aura stood there, I swear she is way too happy for this time in the morning.
"Who even invited you to my house" I questioned walking down the stairs as she followed
"Your mum invites me every morning" Ah I forgot.
"You'd think 14 years of being friends with you, I would be used to happiness and loud mornings. but I'm not, I'm really not". I said, glaring at her as I walked into the kitchen. My mum was happily dancing around the kitchen, getting everything ready for her day.
"Morning you two," My mum said chirpily, kissing us both on the cheek as she rushed past us.
"Morning," I said grabbing an apple from the side. Watching as Aura happily helped herself to the bacon on the side, as well as the cookies. "Why do you let her in so early in the morning" I shouted to my mum, who came running back into the kitchen.
"Someone has to get you up for school Anna, if you had it your way, you would stay in bed all day" I scoffed at her comment, but knew it was true, I hated school, not because of the cliche bullying, and bitches of the school. The classes were just plain old boring, and not needed at 9:00 in the morning. Soon enough the day had began, walking through the hideous blue gates that led to my worse nightmare.
"Cheer up, it's only school. Also, did you hear about the new kid, his names Xavier, I heard he killed 4 people" Aura whispers to me, as we stand at my locker, collecting the books I need for the day.
I rolled my eyes at her comment "Of course, everyone knows about him, but I highly doubt he killed 4 people babe" I said laughing as she frowned, somewhat disappointed by the stupid rumour. "Anyway, I will see you at lunch," I said, as she smiled and waved, happily bouncing down the corridors. Unfortunately, we have different math classes to each other, so I was stuck hopelessly on my own. My class were pretty dull, I swear not one of us held a single emotion on our faces as the teacher loudly rambled on about equations, something I would never use in my life after school.
The door to our math class swung open, making a loud bang on the wall behind, which filled our now quite class. "Ah Mr Black, it is lovely for you to join us," My teacher said, pushing his glasses up from the brim of his nose. The guy, I assume to be Xavier, stood at the front of the class. To say he held an intimidating pose was beyond the statement. Xavier's brown hair sat messily on his head, which contrasted his neat appearance. "If you would like to take a seat next to Anastasia seated at the back" I looked up, realising I was Anastasia, and then quickly glanced at the empty seat next to me, I groaned loudly.
"Dont be too happy that im sat here sweetheart" His thick British accent came through, as he threw himself down on the chair, tapping his pen lightly on the table, which was literally driving me insane.
"Stop" I said, simply
"Stop what"
"Tapping your pen"
"How about, no" I rolled my eyes, shuffling over in my seat, nearing the wall, hoping at some point he'd stop the annoying tapping, which never happened.
Lunch finally came around, I happily danced in my head, preventing myself from doing it in front of everyone. Aura excitedly waved me over towards her, grinning victoriously at me.
"Why are you smiling like that, you only ever smile like that when you've done something wrong" I asked, sitting down, giving Aura my full attention.
"Remember Xavier, the new guy, he's British" I stared dumbfounded at her.
"That's it? That's your big news. I already knew that" I said, rolling my eyes at her as we are our lunch and continued talking about our classes.
"I'll see you later Aura" I smiled as I walked the opposite way to her once again, groaning at the though of my history lesson. To my surprise Xavier was in my class. I sat in my seat at the back and pulled out my books, staring aimlessly out the window, praying this lesson goes quickly.
"You know, the whole point in taking these lessons, is actually paying attention" the thick accent of Xavier came beside me, as he poked me to grasp my attention. I rolled my eyes at him. Stupid, obviously I knew that.
"Thank you Xavier, you see if you hadn't of said that, I would've thought I only came to lessons, to not do the work" I sarcastically replied, looking straight ahead at Mr Smith ramble on about Hitler.
"You are more than welcome, don't want you falling behind on any classes now do we" he said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and continued to stare out the window.
"Anna, would you like to answer this next question" Mr smith asked, looking at me from the brim of his glasses, I sighed as I felt my cheeks go red, I hated being picked on, and more importantly I don't have a clue what the question is.
"Erm, I have no clue" I said, however, it came out more sarcastic than I intended it too.
"Next time pay attention and you may know the answer next time" I glared at the back of his bald head, hoping he could feel my death stares. I was however pulled from my stares as my phone repeatedly buzzed in my pocket
Aura-
Ask Xavier to come out with us tomorrow:)
Me- what, what are you talking about?
Aura- I see you sat next to him, ask him, or I'll tell everyone that embarrassing story-I quickly shut my phone off, as I noticed Xavier glancing down at my phone. Nosey much. I looked out the window, to see Aura frantically waving at me, and then pointing at Xavier. how is she even out of class right now, I rolled my eyes at her and turned towards Xavier.
"So erm, my friends and I, are going out tomorrow for food, do you maybe want to come" I said fiddling with my pen to keep myself distracted from his intense gaze
"Sure, text me the details" I smiled slightly as we exchanged numbers, and was grateful the bell rang just after, keeping me from more awkward interactions.
