Sometime near the end of the winter, temperature's rising, people carrying out their everyday tasks, there was a young man around the age of 18 serving a detention and dying of boredom. He sits with his hand on his face holding up his head and stares at the clock, praying for the bell to ring.
*thinking to himself*
"I just wish these last few minutes would pass so i can go about my business. I shouldn't even be here, I was the good guy in the matter....okay yea I did knock them out but they were picking on that kid for no reason. Well I guess that's what i get for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong...kid who was being bullied didn't even thank me. He just took flight when I yelled at the 3 idiots. Man I--" his thoughts had been interrupted by the dean who was watching over him tapping on his shoulder.
"You can go now, you've served the time." exclaimed the deep voiced woman.
"Oh! Sorry, got lost in my thoughts.." said the black haired teen as he rose from his desk and collected his things. He exits the class and walks through the halls and to the exit of the school only to be chased by a girl with curly hair and hugged from behind. "What in the--" he stops mid sentence and releases his fist after confirming who the girl is. "Oh hey Gabby. What are you doin' here this late?"
"Two things. I was studying for my test next week." she said with a happy tone.
"And the other thing?" asked the slightly taller boy.
"Waiting on you ya big dummy" said the cheery girl
"I thought I told you not to do that."
"Yea, well you can't tell me what i can and cannot do" she says with a slight giggle.
*chuckles a bit* "Hardheaded as always huh Gabby?" She sticks her tongue out in a cute manner and they both make their way out the building.
"Hey Kai, can i come over to your place? There's no one home for me and I don't wanna be alone." she asked while hugging the boy's arm
"Sure."
"what!? You-Your actually gonna let me come over!?" She says in a shocked but excited tone."Its been so long since we went to your house and not mine!"
"Yea well my house isn't the most fun so I don't like bringing you there." he said with a tone nowhere near the same as Gabby's.
"Wait...your parents don't mind if i come over do they?"
"Well... We've been together long enough for me to tell you this." She tilts her head waiting on this new information. "my parents are uhhh...gone. They have been for a while now."
Completely shocked the girl asks several questions like how is he living on his own, does he have anymore family, why he didn't tell her sooner and many many more. She's more concerned about him than ever before.
-skip to the house-
"Yo Gabby, what do you want to eat? Do you want fast food or do you want me to cook?" asked the boy who is now in a pair of gym shorts and a spandex shirt showing his lean physique through it.
"I have a somewhat better idea on food" says the girl with a small smile and her hands behind her back. She has on some shorts and one of Kai's shirts that is way too big for her.
"And that is....?" asked the boy impatiently
She pulls out her phone and shows him a text with an and address signifying a party and waits for his response.
"......okay so we're eating fast food" he says completely uninterested in the party as he gets up.
*whining* "Awwwwww c'mon Kai."
