The whole 'pregnancy' thing is not sitting well with Dean.

First of all, it's down right painful. He swears that it's not supposed to hurt this much, but Sam assured him that it was normal.

Second of all, he's hungry. Constantly. It's crazy because he feels like he could eat a horse, but he gets full from  1\2 of a burger. Not only that, but an hour later, he's hungry again. Good thing Castiel is always willing to get food for the pregnant man.

"Owww." Dean groaned loudly at 4 o'clock in the morning making Castiel jump to his side.

"Dean?" Castiel asked Dean as he knelt down by Dean's side. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah." Dean answered extending a hand for Castiel to help him sit up. "The kids just stretching." Castiel gladly helped the man into sitting position and smiled.

Although Castiel knew that sleep was required for humans, he was relieved to know that Dean and his unborn child were doing alright. He watched as Dean rubbed his protruding stomach.

"Dean, I know that we are still working through things, but would it be okay if I laid with you?" Castiel asked nervously. Dean is the only human that has ever made him nervous.

"Yeah you can lay with me." Dean agreed scooting so Castiel had room to sit.

The two men sat comfortably for a few minutes before Dean spoke.

"Can you find out the gender Castiel?" Dean asked eagerly turning to face Cas.

This caught the angel off-guard. Out of all the the things Castiel imagined starting a conversation with Dean, he hadn't pictured this being the first thing he said.

"I could try." Castiel shrugged. Dean lifted his shirt to reveal his bare stomach. the angel carefully laid his hands on his former fiance's stomach.

The child is strong, is the first thing the Castiel collected.

"They are strong, Dean." Castiel whispered trying to focus on the child. "It's a girl."

"A girl?" Dean asked in disbelief. All of the pain seemed worth it now. He has a little girl who would be in this world in a few short months. Dean didn't even notice he was crying until Cas started to worry.

"Did I say something wrong Dean?" Castiel asked taking his hands away from Dean's stomach.

"No, you didn't." Dean chuckled. "It's just the stupid hormones." He explained as he wiped the tears that just continued to run down his face. "There tears of happiness, so don't worry." Dean assured.

Dean looked up and stared into the cobalt irises of the man the he still loves.

"Cas?" Dean asks breaking the silence. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Castiel says putting a hand on top of Dean's which was on his own stomach.

"No, Cas. I love you so much my heart hurts when I think of living without you." Dean says gripping onto Cas' hand. "I want you here forever, by my side even when I'm at my worst." Dean takes a breath before speaking again. "I need you, Castiel."

"I'm never leaving, Dean." Castiel can't believe what he had just heard, but he was not going to question it. "I never want to."

Dean yawned and felt his eyes droop.

"You should sleep." Castiel suggested. Dean nodded and started t position himself into laying position. Dean was going to close his eyes before he asked-

"Can you hold me?"

Castiel didn't answer. He just wrapped an arm around Dean, his hand ended up on Dean's stomach and he rubbed soothing circles into it. Angels don't sleep, but that didn't mean that Cas wouldn't stay until Dean woke up. It could be up to six hours, but he didn't care. He just wanted Dean happy and safe.

Dean woke up and Castiel was still there doing the same thing that he was doing when he fell asleep. He was rubbing circles in his stomach because Dean mentioned that he liked it once. It was like Castiel knew that Dean opened his eyes because he pulled his arm away allowing Dean to get up and make his way into the bathroom.

As Dean relieved himself he thought about what he had said to Castiel earlier. He meant every word, and as much as he wanted Castiel by his side forever, he was still scared. Not scared of being with Cas, but scared of the unknown. Sam and him had always lived a dangerous life, and it always came back to bite them in the ass.

Dean finished up and washed his hands, and made his way out of the bathroom so he could put on some proper pants, but when he opened the door he couldn't believe his eyes.

Castiel was down on one knee with the same ring that Dean had originally thrown at his face.

"Dean." Castiel started, "I know I am not a human, and marriage is human tradition, but believe that you have showed me how to be human." Dean was still in shock, so he just continued. "I know how to love, because of you showed me how. I may not be the best at showing it, but Dean I am deeply in love with you, and I love our child. Will you be my husband?" Castiel asked and Dean nodded as tears poured down his face again.

As long as Dean had Castiel who cared about the unknown future. He has Castiel now, and that is all that matters.

The next one shot will be out on Friday and I think that will be the designated day for one shots, so we can end every week with a bang. I'm back and I'm ready to write until my hands cramp.
