"Alrighty then, let's get going," I sighed as we boarded the train. I dropped the luggage and sat down with a huff. Samy followed closely behind, carrying her own bags with a few photos poking out of the pocket. In one glimpse of the first picture, I saw the top of a tree.

Three men and two women sat on the opposite bench. I nodded politely to them and then looked to the side. A small child sat on the floor of the next traincar, his mother watching approvingly as he played with his toys. Although, I did have a hunch that these people were just more of my victims.

I stared at Samy. She'd made the remark this morning how exhausted I looked; to me she appeared worse. Dark rings curled under our eyes, and our undone hair made us seem even more insane-looking.

Maybe hunted, even.

Peeking through the small tinted window, trees and farmland blurred past. A thin drizzle had begun and it flattened against the window. A truck drove on a back road, but the road went over the tracks. The car didn't slow. Within split seconds, I watched in panic as the truck rammed into the side of my car, and felt the train warble and watched the truck catch fire.

I could practically hear the oil from the wheels catching in a small spark. I braced myself for a powerful explosion. The last thing I saw was the small five year old sitting in the other car, and then a furious white before my eyes.

Someone was standing over me. It was the man who'd been driving the car. He was now wearing a mask, and I looked around for Samantha. She lay, breathing shallow but alive, next to me. Samy is fine. The man in front of me is...

Familiar. He killed my loved ones. HE... Is my father. I instantly remember the photo.

"Why." I rasped. My voice rose to a screech. "You left us and then you decide to kill me. My family. My FRIENDS!" My energy restored, I leapt to my feet and winced as my leg went limp.

I lunged at my father. I lunged at the murderer. My fingernails dug into his neck. I punched him in the face and shook my wrist. Exhaustion swept over me and I fell to the ground next to Samy. Now the world was growing light. I could see... Things. Memories almost.

The pang of grief shook over me. But calmly, I could admit that now, now that everything had been taken away from me, I wanted to die. The rain pounded harder, and it took me a second to recognize the flashing lights in the distance as ambulances.

They shouldn't save me or Samy.

Dad would kill us.

I grasped Samy's hand in mine. She slowly looked at me then nodded and focused on something behind me.

The gray mist around us turned to darkness. I lay in darkness with Samantha next to me. We sat up, our wounds healed.

What I saw amazed me. Mum, Oliver, Renn, Eliza, Suz and Hell-cat stood in a line.

I'd finally reached heaven.

Of all the times I'd thought I'd go to hell. I came here.

A/N:

So, writing this final chapter made me think 'This reminds me of a movie moment'. Of course, I will have to go back and edit some things, add a few words. Thanks for reading. But I wanted to tell you that when I imagined this chapter, I imagined a sad scene where there was a major incident with a train and it was gray and rainy. But what it looks like to me is that Melanie Ravens has finally accompanied her dead loved ones in a place where she belongs.

I am planning on writing a prequel of how adorable little Renn is and how I met Samantha.

Again, thanks for reading and I wish you all good luck in life. *wink*
