Riley and MarLee crossed the street to head to the nearest gas station. The store was a few blocks from their home so, they decided to walk.

The sun was starting to drift behind the clouds and the skies began to fade into the night sky.
"Is this all for you tonight?"
MarLee nodded her head and said
"Yeah that's it."
"Okay it's going to be six , eighty five."
MarLee handed her the cash , Riley grabbed the bags and proceeded to the door .
The wind roared between the opening as they began to head out .
"Ughhhh I swear , this is too much!"

"I don't think it's that bad , I mean lately it's been real hot out here and we are in Colorado. Does that make sense ?"

They soon reached their apartment , the wind felt like cold paper cuts that's how freezing it was .

They both laughed and pretty much proceeded to eat their munchies ."
Time went on and the moon floated behind the clouds. The night was silent ,streets were empty, and it was still cold but not to the point where you had to bundle up to death..
As the night began to grow with time , MarLee sat up on the couch and said
"It's almost that time , imma get ready to go in a minute."
Ricky didn't respond , MarLee shoved Ricky's arm and said
"Aye grandpa, I'm about to dip. Get your sleepy ass up , ahahaha damn u stay tapping."
"Man I was chilling , shid you look like you was sleep too."
"Not even going to lie , I was !"
Riley grabbed his cup from the table , stood up and walked to the kitchen.
"Oooww can you get me some

"It must've been cheaper to get a flight out that way."

"I don't blame you, your taking your car or uber ?"
"I was going to take my car but I don't know yet."

"Yeah it's cool, I gotta go up that way anyways , I got this girl out there we just met so I'm trying to see her."
"Mhmm alright imma grab my bag and we can head out ."

"Cool."
MarLee headed to her bedroom , so she could grab everything she needed.
"See you later paw."
MarLee picked up her puppy and gave him a bunch of love .
"Okay you're distracting, me go , go away ."
She grabbed her chargers, she grabbed her camera , and she began to search for her keys .
In the process ,she closed her blinds and covered the windows as she was looking for her keys .
"She spotted them on her night stand and quickly reached for them ,
"Alright let me grab my hoodie and head out."
She zoomed to her closet and chose a random hoodie to wear.
She grabbed her suitcase, petted paw one last time and turned off the lights .
She headed out of her bedroom and said
"Alright I'm ready ."
"Okay , you got everything right ?"
"Yes, and oh please don't forget to take paw to the pet shop to get a cut."
"I won't I won't , I have it saved on my calendar "
"Okay let's go !"
MarLee turned on her alarm as she left her apartment .
They both headed out the door ,
As MarLee asked
"I gave the spare right ?"
"Yeah the key in my car I got

She locked the top and bottom lock .
"You ready ?"

"Yeah I'm excited to see the beach , it's been a while sheesh almost like 7 years."
He chuckled a little and said
"On my behalf you're a lucky piece of shit cause I have never even left Colorado , I mean just to Arizona other than that, that's it ."
Her mouth dropped and said
"Wow I gotta be all that huh ?"
"I'm just saying , but yeah have fun man for me and I mean fuck all the bad bitches you see ."
"Ahaha man whatever I got you , we will see what happens."
They both headed outside , and went straight to the car.
It wasn't that cold surprisingly, the only thing, that seemed cold were the chills that ran through Marlee's body like an Icy stream .
Riley put MarLee's bag into the trunk and got into the car.
"Hurry uuuup ,unlock it ."
Riley grew a petty smile .
"Riley forreal?!"
He unlocked the door and said

"Your lame ass trying to fight , let's go I don't got time for you ."
Riley shook his head , turned up the music and headed out on to the road .
The ride was long but well worth it. MarLee ended up falling asleep throughout the drive . Luckily they made it to the airport on time .
He got to the drop off that had Marlee's air line. He turned the music down and said
"Aye wake up ,we here "
MarLee rubbed her eyes , sat up in her seat and said
"Damn we're here already ? I don't even remember passing the hell out."
"I do your ass passed out soon as I hit the highway ,we didn't even get to out of the city good enough and your head started bobbin."
"I was tired as hell , my body too excited for some reason haven't fr much rest ."
Riley took off his seat belt and said "Well try to enjoy yourself as much as you can when you arrive to your destination... okay ? And be safe . I don't got time for no bullshit , I'm too far from you."
"Everything is going to be cool , no worries ."
Riley said alright as he proceeded out of the car.
MarLee pulled out her phone to check the time.
"Okay , forty five minutes I got time ."
She unbuckled her seat belt and headed out of the car.
"Alright it doesn't seem like it's packed right now."
Riley mentioned . He took her bags out and said call me when you land foo, I'll probably be sleep but I'll try to answer.
She nodded her head and gave Riley a hug ,
"Thanks for the ride ."
"It's all good, I'll come get you if you need me to , okay just let me know ."
MarLee took a deep breath,
"Aight bro I'll see you ."
She grabbed her suitcase and shook the snow off of it .
Riley waved , got back into the car and waited until she got inside.
"Hmm Southwest ...Delta airline! Ooo!" She found the entrance that led her inside , and walked straight through the sliding doors.
The airport was pretty empty not too many people was there.
She headed to one of the employees ...
"Good evening welcome to Delta Airlines, are you ready for your flight ?"
MarLee smiled and said
"Hello, and yeah I am actually ."
"Indeed, I'll just need your i.d. And make sure to print out your ticket , you can use one of those behind you. "
"Oh okay give me one second ."
MarLee headed for the computer and began to type in her confirmation number .
She printed out her ticket and headed back to the desk .
"Oooookay and it looks like you just have your carry on, okay you're all set , have a nice flight."
"Thankyou . Have a nice night ."
MarLee grabbed all of her belongings and headed for her flight .
She went through the metal detectors with no problems and made it to her destination on time .
The boarding light came on and it was time for her to get on the plane .
She was looking forward to the flight more so the trip itself.
"Excuse me , sorry .. ahh , sorry ."
She shoved her way through the crowd until she found her seat .
"Hmm A5... A6... A7! ...not bad next to the window ."
She found her seat , so she went ahead and stuffed her carry on bag above her. She didn't have much in it because she planned on going shopping for the trip.
The row was empty as she scooted her way to her seat.
There was a small tv on the back of the head rest in front of her . She immediately turned to cartoons and relaxed until it was time for take off .
"Umm excuse me."
"Yes" said the flight attendant.
"Do you guys know what time we're gonna land ?"
"Yeah we should land around ten,
forty five."
"Alright I figured. Thankyou ."
The flight attendant nodded, pushed her cart filled with goodies and continued to service another person.
Time was growing and MarLee thoughts was flying .
It was to the point where all she could do is play love songs throughout the night.

There was going to be a huge carnival and as she prepared for all the fun she also prepared for something much deeper.

"Alright good evening boarders we are now about to take off so please buckle up until the seat light comes off ."
As the pilot continued on explaining the safety procedures MarLee stared out into the window.
She smiled a little as she let her wildest thoughts scramble.
So much was coming to her at once even her gut grew butterflies..
Her phone vibrated and she unlocked it
"I can't wait to see you ."
She bit her lip and said
"Oh yeah ? Same here."
She put her phone on airplane mode and stuck it in her pocket .
The plane took off into the air , and everyone started getting comfortable .
"Hey would you guys like any refreshments?"
A flight attendant asked.
I shocked my head and said
"I'm fine Thankyou ."
Time went on and the flight continued to drag , well for her .
Anxious and excited all in one was killing her inside.
The clock struck ten and MarLee took off her head phones .
She looked of the window and saw bright lights beneath the plane.
You could see the buildings as the clouds were disappearing.
"Wow it's really beautiful out here ."
"Alrighty folks we are about to land here real soon , please buckle up." The pilot said .
MarLee continued to stare out of the window ...
"This shit is tight

The person next to her asked
"First time ?"
"Yeah its real dope , my friends begged me to come out here so I'm taking a chance . It's like twenty of us all going ."

Everyone stood up when the pilot turned off the seat belt light. It was time to get off the plane and MarLee began reaching for her bag.
Everyone got off the plane and headed to her next destination .
MarLee went to pick up her rental car so that way she could head to her hotel .
She called her friends who was already there waiting for her .
"Hello?"
"Hey you made it ?"
"Yeah I'm about to head out now I just picked up I just picked up my rental , send me the addy to the hotel ."
"We said bump the hotel , we put the bread towards a airbnb."
"What the hell? What's that ?"
"Remember when shayla suggested that we find something that fits all of us into one place ? It's like booking a house pretty much , and we got a condo downtown."
" oh okay that sounds cool, bet send me the address and I'll head out to you guys."
"Okay but make sure you make it here fast , people are coming to our kickback tonight."

She hung up her phone checked messages and started hitting up all of her friends.
She drove highway for about twenty minutes and arrived at her exit. The condo was just on the other side of the highway as she got closer to the buildings .
She pulled up to a parking garage that was connected to her location . She found a parking spot parked her car, grabbed her bag and headed to the elevators.
She checked the time on her phone and it was almost midnight .
Her phone vibrated and it said
"Hey sounds like a plan , I'll head that way fifteen minutes , we're just grabbing a few people with us if that's okay ."
MarLee texted back and said
"Yeah that's totally fine , just let me know you're outside mami."
A few minutes later she got another text that said
"Okay and just make sure you keep your eyes to yourself... I don't want my ex getting upset we literally just broke up yesterday so yeah, but she's coming because your best friend is cousins with her."
"Yeah that's cool, I understand just relax. We all are going to have a good time. "
A few minutes later and the message said
"Good, umm imma try to be good. See you soon . "
MarLee smirked a little smile and said
"Lol okay."
She finally reached the tenth floor and searched for the room number.
She arrived at the door and gave it three knocks.
The door swung open and a whole bunch of voices shouted
"Ayyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeee!!!!"
A friend of MarLee's snatched her through the door by her collar and started dancing .
"Oh shit !! What the hell going on !"
The house was slightly packed , and there was a bunch of people dancing.
Caribbean music was flowing through everyone's ears.
"Here let me show you your room !"
Charlene grabbed MarLee's hand started dancing through the car.
"Heeeeeeyyyy!!! MarLee !!! It's good to see you baby !"
"Hell yeah , how's it going Shawn ?! Aye I'll come find you later imma drop my bag off. "
Shawn through both thumbs up as he was dancing with two beautiful white girls.
"Yo Charlene this shit is live as fuck."
She shouted over the music and said
"I know right ?! People just started coming as soon as we said it's on top of the roof ! Ahaha I didn't even know we knew that many people from college!"

They walked up a couple of stairs that led them to individual bedrooms.
They all had some crazy kind of art on every single one of their walls.
"Okay MarLee since you like palm trees you can get this room b."
Charlene opened the door and MarLee's mouth dropped.
There were glowing stars on the ceiling, palm tree paintings all over the walls, and actual palm trees in every corner. Also there was a huge bed with Christmas lights around them.
"Wow this is really nice man , Thankyou . I'm feeling the colors and vibes in this room for real."
"Right I said the same thing , my husband was trying to take this room but Shelly saved it for ya so thank her . Mine had a African scene inside so either way it goes every room is different."
"That's tight I like this a lot !"
"Yeah feel free to tour around and come down when you're ready ."
MarLee nodded her head and said alright I'll be down there in the second .

MarLee and Charlene turned around to see who was at the door.
"MarLeeeee!!! Hey it's been forever !"

"Okay okay yeah I did, she said she was going to come through pretty soon , she's bringing friends ... ooooooo I can't wait to see her , she's so fine ! Her and her sisters ."
"Yeah I know , but yeah she will be here I'll introduce y'all."
"Okay so y'all guys are good tho , I remember you told me y'all got into a huge argument a couple days ago."
MarLee sat on the bed and said
"Yeah and I honestly can't really explain how it all happened ."
Tania folded her arms and said
"Well try , because I want to make sure you guys are good to be here in one place."
"Look everything is going to be straight I'm not going to fight anyone or start any problems.
I just want her to have a good time and I just want to talk"

MarLee smiled and shrugged her shoulders
"Look man ; we both said we will try our best to put our thoughts aside ."

Everyone downstairs was dressed up in club attire so she decided to do the same .
It didn't take her long, she finished up and made her way downstairs.
The music was slow and the crowd was swaying side to side .

"I don't know ...her name is Nattie, well that's what she introduced herself as ."

"Where is she ? I think she's in the kitchen where all the food and drinks are at , I told

They had to dance and shove their way through the living room.
The halls were crowded with a bunch of college students who attended the Tallahassee Art school.
MarLee dapper a few friends along the way and finally..

MarLee turned her head after she greeted another friend.
Her voice left and made her speechless ...

Charlene through up the peace sign and headed back into the crowd.
MarLee stood at the door way and watched nattie groove to the music as her friends we chatting around her.
MarLee took a deep breath and said
"Alright here goes nothing . "
Her mind crashed with a bunch of thoughts such as..

As MarLee walked closer her hands got sweaty and her heart was trying to escape her chest .
"Hey , nattie?"
She turned her head and said

Nattie smiled and gave MarLee

The was long and warm .. in fact she could feel nattie breathe against her right ear lobe..
"Oh and this is my sister Annie, she wanted to come and we also brought four other people with us ."
"Oh no that's fine , I got a lot of friends here anyways so it's cool that you've Invited some of your friends as well."
Nattie smiled and said
"Said yeah of course and thanks for inviting me , I literally was thinking of what to do for the night ."
MarLee shook her head and looked over at her sister ,Annie.
She shook hands with her and said
"Hey ! Nice to finally meet you , I really hope you enjoy yourself."

MarLee smiled and said,
"Okay umm ,are you thirsty nattie ? I'll go grab drinks."
"Yeah I am actually ..ill come with you , Annie you want something to drink ?"
"Yeah I'll stay with the group and just wait here , we still waiting on Charles and Brandi to come ."
Nattie said
"Okay " and asked
"You ready ."
MarLee nodded her head yes and said
"Follow me."
Nattie bit her lip a little and said
"Lead the way captain."
The tension was so heavy that you can tell MarLee wanted to lead her away from the crowd, but she swallowed her thoughts and said "okay."
MarLee found a easy path to walk through as she searched for the kitchen . Along the way she tapped one of her friends and said
"Aye chop , where the kitchen ."
"Aye MarLee !! What's good my nigga!"
Chop grabbed MarLee and gave her the biggest hug .
"Chop ! Chop ! You're squeezing me my nigga.. I .. can't ... breeeeathheeee ahhhhh!"
Chop finally put MarLee down and nattie started laughing while looking the opposite way
"Yo it's been forever man I'm sorry but , oh yeah the kitchen is going to be down that hall pas the water fall , just make a right and you'll run right into it . And my my , is this your friend .?
Chop offered his hand to nattie ..
"Hey I'm nattie , MaLee's friend."

MarLee grabbed natties hand and continued to walk through the crowd.

As the two of them reached the hall way they finally made it to the kitchen.

"Aye tony , you got some jungle juice back there?"
"What's good marmar; definitely we made sure to stock up on some of that."
"Hey I'll just take some fruit punch."

"Oh true you sure ?"
"Yeees you know I don't drink like that ; I told you this."

"Aye tony let me get a fruit punch ; and I'll take a jungle juice."
"Alright bet , you ain't gotta pay you're part of the wave miss."
Tony said to nattie.
She smiled at MarLee and said
"Wow you have some nice friends ."
"Ehhhhh sometimes they are assholes."
Tony handed MarLee the drinks and saluted them on their way.
"Nattie .."
MarLee and nattie stopped at their tracks as natties ex approached them .
"Hey Mona, ummm Mona this is MarLee , MarLee this is Mona."
MarLee shook her head up and said
"Hey whatsup ; "
"Hey whatsup , so nattie you wanna talk real quick ? "
Nattie looked at MarLee .
"Oh no, go ahead and talk I mean ; I'll be around ."
Nattie said okay , grabbed her juice from MarLee and went with Mona .
MarLee stood still and watched Nattie walk away.
She took a sip from her cup and rocked side to side as slow jams was playing.
MarLee couldn't keep her eyes off of her from a far but she also noticed that nattie was doing the same.
It didn't seem like nattie was actually engaged in whatever convo her and Mona had.
"Are you listening ?"
Mona asked
"Yeah , yeah I'm sorry I was just trying to figure out what song this was playing . "
"Okay so what I say ?"
"You were saying that you don't want to lose me and that you love me , and I told you that won't happen unless you start taking in consideration of our time that we have with each other ."
"And I've been trying to do that."
"Yeah and you have to stop getting so angry every time I try to explain myself to you ."
"I don't I just feel like , thins kinda changed last month like you've lost feelings for me and I don't understand where we went wrong."
"Look Mona you told me that you were done , and this was my last time trying to fight for you back ."
Mona grabbed nattie by the waist and said
"But I'm not done with you."
she looked into natties eyes and said
"I love you and I want things to really work between us."
Nattie smiled and looked down at the floor.
"Nattie ? I'm forreal."
She looked up at Mona and said
"Okay , can we talk about this some other time ? I'm really enjoying the music here."
Mona shook her head yes and said
"Give me a kiss."
As nattie and monas lips connected ,so did MarLee and natties eyes connected as the two of them kissed.
MarLee quickly looked away.
Her thoughts flooded her mind once more, she couldn't bare the fact that the girl she has been wanting for almost five years was being taken from her. She held her composer and started dancing a bit to the music.
Mona grabbed nattie by the back
Of her waste and began to pull her in closer.
Nattie stared at MarLee from a far ... she was wishing for the worse and the best in this situation. It was like her body was craving so much more but from someone who has been melting her body since day one.
Mona started kissing nattie on the back of her neck slowly to the beat and nattie would move side to side in mona's arms.
"You know this is my favorite song right?"
"Yes babe, you would play it almost every single morning ."
Mona grabbed on to her tighter and said ..
"Yeah I know, that's the first song we fucked to."
Nattie smiled and said ..
"Oh also remember that too."
Mona rested against the wall while the crowd began to grow in front of them . She held on tight to nattie as if she was going to get snatched up.
Nattie peaked her head over a little to see if she could still spot MarLee from a distance. She saw that MarLee was dancing with another girl, having a good time while singing and dancing along to the lyrics.
MarLee grabbed onto the girls hips,
"Damn you got a fat ass baby."
The girl started hip rolling and the crowd was cheering her along .
"Ayyye "
Is all that you can hear as the two of them vibed out to a hit song.
The girl turned around and grabbed Marlee's neck.
"Hmm I've never seen you here before , where you be at ?"
The girl asked.
MarLee grabbed her body closer to hers and said
"Oh I live in Colorado mami , I used to go to school out here."
The girl started slow grinding up and down MarLee's body , and as she came back up she said ..
"That's tight I'm from here actually , just visiting I'm courtni. What's your name ?"
"I'm MarLee , it's nice to meet you ."
The song was coming to a end and Courtni kissed MarLee on the left cheek.
"It was great dancing with you , you can keep up I see. "
MarLee licked her lips , smiled and said
"I can do a lot of things... I'll see you around. "
Courtni waved bye as she disappeared into the crowd. MarLee took a sip of her jungle juice and started grooving to next song .
Everyone in that house was dancing that night. No one missed a beat, the energy was unexplainable ...nothing was out of place it seemed just right .
MarLee swayed side to side as she song every word to the song , she eventually turned around to see if nattie was in the same spot.
When she managed to get a good eye they immediately connected again eye to eye.
MarLee smile and lifted her cup to nattie.
Nattie smiled and bit her lip.
Mona snuck a kiss on natties cheek and said
"This night is real chill, I like it."
"Yeah is agree."
MarLee winked at nattie from a distance and continued on jamming to the song.
"Ima go find my sisters real quick can you hold my spot for me ?"
Nattie asked
Mona, grabbed nattie shoulders and said
"Should I come with you ?"
"Nooo I don't want to lose this spot ; I like how we can see everything it's not going to take long ."
"Alright , hurry up , I want to get drinks."
Nattie said "okay , I'll be right back."
