Chapter fourteen

Jamiee signs looking in the bathroom mirror.she had on high waisted jean shorts ,a red button up collar shirt that went to her elbows ,and black vans.she had straightened her hair.after applying little mascara and eyeliner ,Jamiee walks out if the bathroom turning the light off and grabbing her grey sweater. she runs downstairs to see Mimi sitting on Henry's lap playing with his face.

"um ready "Jamiee smiles.

Henry looks up and smiles"finally ,you took for ever"

"Shut up"Jamiee blushes .

They walk out the door to Henry's black Mercedes .

"Do I look okay?"Jamiee asked in a moment of silence.

Henry stops at a red light and checks her out then nods

"Yea you look great"

Jamiee nods .

"Jewee "mimi says .

"Yes hun?"Jamiee says turning around in her seat and looking at mimi.

Jamiee smiled.mimi looked so pretty today with her hair in a messy bun .

She had on a green shirt ,and and blue jeans with green flip flops .

"Where we go-ing ?"

"To my mommys house"Jamiee smiles .

Mimi smiles back.Jamiee leans forward a little more and starts tickling mimi.

"Hey! no playing in the car "Henry's says .

Jamiee turns back around in her seat to see henry smiling "oh hush henry"

They park in front of a manilla house that had nice roses bushes .

Jamiee gets out the car rubbing her hands through her hair.she leans forward shaking her hair then raises up throwing it back.henry watches in amusement .he gets Mimi out the car and they walk up to the front porch about to knock when it swings open revealing a older version of Jamiee .

"Ol honey "mrs.white smiles attacking Jamiee in a bear hug .

"Mom"Jamiee groans .

Mrs.white pulls back "did you get a haircut ?"

Jamiee nods "yep"

she notices henry and Mimi .

"Hello"she says opening the door wider so they can come in.

"Hello I'm henry nice to meet you"henry says holding out his hand .

"What a handsome young you are I'm Maria "she says pulling him into a hug .he chuckles surprised hugging her back.

"Mom"Jamiee groans again.

Henry pulls back taking a seat on the couch .

Mimi walks up to Jamiee's mom and tugs on her dress.

"Me want up "

"Aw "Maria says picking up Mimi "what's your name?"

"Mimi"

"Beautiful ,do want a cookie ?"

Mimi eyes gleam a wide smile crossing her face as she nods .Maria takes her into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry about that"Jamiee says sitting next to henry "my moms a little- "it's okay "chuckles henry "I like her"

Jamiee nods rubbing a hand through her hair.

Maria returns with Mimi in her arms .Mimi having a giant cookie In her hand.

She sats Mimi on the floor "do you like puppy's ?"

Mimi nods.

Maria goes down the hall to her room and takes chewy out of his cage.he immediately runs in the living room towards mimi. chewy loves kids he was a little chihuahua .

Maria comes back in the living room to see Mimi and chewy playing .

"So how you been?"maria asks Jamiee sitting in the recliner .

"Other than the annoying man beside me good"Jamiee smiled

Henry chuckles as does Maria .

"I'm glad you hired her henry ,she's always loved children as do I "Maria says winking at Jamiee .Jamiee blushes realizing what she's saying.

Henry chuckles too.

After about four hours of talking and laughing mimi starts getting cranky meaning it was her bed time .

"Thanks for the dinner mom ,but we should get going we need to get Mimi settled " Jamiee says hugging her mom and kissing her cheek actually feeling tired herself.

"See you later honey" Maria says pulling back. henry steps up and gives Maria a bear hug "bye Maria it was nice meeting you"

"You too babe,and if you ever need me to watch Mimi I be happy too"

"Okay "henry says .Jamiee picks up Mimi and lays her head on her shoulder patting her back.

"Bye "they say in unison .

"I had a good time "Henry says driving away from the sweet woman's house.

"Me too "Jamiee smiles leaning back in her seat still holding Mimi .

"Mimi loves your mom"henry chuckles .

"I know "Jamiee smiles"thanks for coming with me I really appreciated it"
