i took the broken-off pieces
and made them something special.
i turned them into art
so that they meant something again.
i swept up all the dust
and put it in the parts of me
that i used to call empty.
i'm no longer hollow:
there's life and there's love
and a masterpiece inside me now.
and i glow.
oh, how i glow.
i glow for the nights when
i forgot how bright the light could be.
i glow for everyone lost in the dark.
i glow.
i glow for me.
