Today I woke up,
To the sound of your voice,
To the touch of your skin,
Oh how you seemed like a sin. What did I do to deserve you?
Your hair,
Your lips,
And how your skin was so fair.Your eyes.
They were like blue crystals.
Your smile.
I had adorned for the longest. You gave me a kiss,
Oh it was so bliss.
To know that you were mine,
As your arms were around me,
Tangled up like a vine. You knew I wasn't the brightest,
Or even the mightiest.
You knew I wasn't the prettiest,
Or even the wittiest.I knew you weren't the best dancer,
Or dressed fancier.
I knew you weren't the sharpest in the shed,
And that you were a little dumb in the head. But tell me why we lay here today,
And why I don't need to tell you to stay,
But even when others give you a sign,
I hope you know you're mine.-carmella.
