Chapter 9

Keith and Lance finally made it back to Keith's home island.

"Do you think there mad at me?"

Lance shook his head at his boyfriends concern.

"They won't be. I'm sure they'll be glad to have you back Mullet head."

The boat made it to the dock where they tied the rope to a heavy rock.

Lance followed Keith holding on to each others hands as they walked.

"KEITH!"

He turned around to be met with Hunk's comforting hugs.

"Buddy, your finally back! I'm so glad your safe and totally not dead."

"Let go off me! I wanna introduce you to someone."

Hunk finally let go off me and sat me on the ground. I dusted my grass skirt and cleared my throat.

"Hunk, this is my boyfriend Lance. Lance this is Hunk he's one of my best friends."

Lance waved at Hunk shyly. Lance was embarrassed because he was all skin and bone compared to this guy.

"Do you know where Shiro is?"

I ask worry filling my voice. Was Shiro mad at him? Would Allura be happy to see him? Would they be fine after Keith had left? Did he worry anyone at all?

"Oh yeah, check the mountain rocks, he's usually there with Allura."

I thanked Hunk. Me and Lance walked towards the mountain rocks hand in hand.

"So, why are you so quite today?"

Lance looked at the ground with shame radiating of him.

"Well... what if your older brother doesn't like me? "

I smiled and laughed.

"Don't worry Lance, you'll be fine. I promise you, you will be okay cause you'll have me there by your side."

I kissed his cheek and rubbed his palm trying to comfort my boyfriend.

Boyfriend.

That word still feels so new to me yet so natural at the same time. Me and Lance are in a relationship now and I'm glad about it. Ever since we've restored that heart we've grown closer.

Me and Lance stopped by the same markings I discovered back when I found everything out. There I saw Shiro staring at the sea deep in thought.

I took a deep breath and let go off Lance's hand. I step forward towards my older brother with hesitation in my steps.

"Shiro?"

He turns around and smiles at me.

"Keith? Keith!"

He runs towards me and picks me up laughing and muttering things along the lines of 'Thank the gods!' Or 'Your okay!'.

"Shiro put me down I have so much to tell you."

"Of course you do. For starters who that brown guy is and why you left."

He sets me down perfectly and we all sit in a circle.

"Shiro this is my boyfriend. His name is Lance, he's the one who set Te Fa loose in the first place."

"Hey! That was totally an accident."

"Lance no the fuck it was not. "

"Language Keith. Lance it's good to meet you, I'm Shiro leader and cheif of the Altean Tribe. "

"It's good to meet you sir. I'm sorry about the whole heart thing."

After that me and Lance went into my room after given the talk by Shiro.

1 WEEK LATER

I was in a meeting with the village elders and Shiro.

"I say we stay here on this island. We were safe for generations."

I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, but now I've been out there. We should carry on our ancestors dreams and doings. I believe if we don't set foot of this island, we may never be strong again."

"Who needs strength when we got coconuts?!"

"Fine! Today we let the village decide and when they do, we'll have our decision."

Me and Shiro left the hut that was on the verge of collapsing.

"Nice work out there. I know if anything were to happen to me then I'm glad that I have you to lead everyone."

I smiled at the compliment.

"Nothing is going to happen to you Shiro you'll be fine."

In the end everyone in the village decided to be voyagers. Leading them was the best team anyone could think of.
