Dash.

"Ugh, I forgot that I hate heels." I grunted under my breath as I try to slay this outfit Saph recommended for an added bonus to my intimidating aura. I wore a maroon off shoulder blouse with my black coat hanging from my shoulders. I also wore black skirt that only a fucking slut would wear, Jesus Christ...and she also made me wear these killer heels.

"You looked very intimidating ma'am, I must say." I heard Quibble's voice and turned around to see him leaning on my office entrance with arms crossed, and flexing those muscles of his. I feel my face heating up again, Rainbow Dash you fucking slut.

"Ah...you think so?" I asked nervously, trying to hide my beetroot face. Why am I getting flustered whenever he's around?

"Yup. And by the way, I smell ex and troubles." He said and pointed at the elevator...and him. With my best friend. Sluts.

He looks very tired and aged quite a lot. He has a beard now, and his once bright emerald eyes are now dark, as if he's long gone. He still remained his athletic figure and I think he grew even taller.

I stood up, with chin up high and with a very prideful expression, I walked up to greet them. When I got there I was the one who smiled (fake) and held out a hand,"It is great to see you again, Soarin."

He first looked at me from below and when our eyes met, he immediately turned away. But I didn't. I think Saph's training works so far.

"Are you gonna...greet back your future business partner?" I continued to fake a smile. But still maintaining my presence.

"Oh—yes, I am sorry. It is also great to see you again, Dash." He shakes my hand.

"Shall we begin our meeting?" I asked.

"O-of course." His voice stuttered.

Our meeting went good so far, whenever I'm lost, Quibble was there to back me up and I sensed an intense stare coming from Soarin. Oh my, Jealous?

"And with that, all you have to do is to sign this contract. We hope that we get along as business partners, Mr. Skies." The meeting ended like a blur. This is a very dangerous game I'm gonna play, but I'll do whatever it takes to protect my son.

The rest of the board had already left the meeting room and I had specifically instructed Quibble to go and fetch Blue and take care of him at home cause I was going home late.

And, alas...I was left alone. With him.

He cleared his throat to clear the akward atmosphere while I was facing back at him.

"Husband?" That question made my head turn. "I'm sorry, What?" I questioned.

"The one you keep staring at, your husband?" Can anyone stop me cause I'm gonna throw this guy off the ledge.

"I'm not married. Why do you question that?" I smiled flatly.

"I saw how he looked at you...it reminds me of me when I—"

"Please don't." I stopped him.

"Dash—"

"The meeting is over, Mr. Skies. I have other things to do other than dwell in the past." I packed my things, grabbed my bag and as I was about to leave the room he stopped me by cornering me.

"You're acting ridiculous." I grunted.

"What can I do just to meet my son?" His voice cracked, as if he was about to cry.

"Nothing. Just leave him be." I pushed him and walked towards the door, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him.

"Stop with whatever you're doing, Soarin. Nothing will ever change my mind. You can't win over me." I glared and gritted my teeth. But he didn't said anything. He remained silent while keeping a tight grip of my wrist.

"Soarin...Let go." I warned. No response.

"Soarin—"

He sobbed,"I regret everything I've done...I'm sorry...Please...I would do anything to meet my son..." he begged.

"Stand up."

"What—"

"I SAID STAND UP. Begging and pleading won't do anything. Nothing will ever change, Soarin. You've caused this unfixable problem, and there's no turning back now."

And I walked away. Although, I didn't realized that I was crying. I walked into my office and decided to leave early. When I arrived in the parking lot, Quibble was waiting for me.

"Ma'am, shall we go? Oh no, did you cried?? What did he do to you ma'am?!" He quickly rushed towards me qnd hugged me, stroking my hair. He wiped my tears as I faced him.

"I do need a hug right now. Thank you for being here for me for the last 5 years..." I said.
