"Tom?" I heard Bet ask me. I glanced at her with a small hum.

"Where's story?" She asked, raising her shoulders.

"Oh! Uhm..." I shut the book and rub my eyes. "Sorry Bet, I'm just tired..." I sighed, glancing at her. "Do you want me to continue?"

Bet shook her head, relaxing her shoulders.

"Brother west," Bet gave me a crooked smile. "Go on walk."

"With you?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No, yourself to welax," Bet answered as she tried to continue but ended up getting stuck on one word. I understood her though.

"Well, alright..." I placed the book on the desk carefully. "If you say so."
I stood from my seat, walking to my room. I entered with a small sigh and pulled on a magenta hoodie. I had also put on a watch someone had given me a long time ago. When I was fourteen and was going through the same state I was in when dad died.

I don't remember who or where I got it from. All I knew was that I never left the mansion without it.

It looked to be a very expensive watch, with gold and gems decorating the rim of the watch. The hands were two multi-colored feathers. On the back, was a heart, a diamond, a spade and a club.

Also in the back were the initials J.M, along with the words "Forever and Always." I didn't know whose intials they were but something tells me they were important in some way.

I quickly walked out of my room, walking down the grand stairs.

"Martha!" I called out. "I'm going out! You're in charge!!" I yelled out to Martha before stepping out and shutting the door behind me. The mansion was near a small forest so I intended to take a walk there.

Two minutes into the stroll and I started to realize why Bet sent me into this walk. Though Bet is mentally ill, she can interpret our emotions pretty easily. She could probably see how uneasy I was. I had quite the nightmare last night. So, it's not a surprise I was uneasy.

I guess she suggested me something that calms her. Walks. I should thank her later.

But about the nightmare. I was so afraid of my sisters' safety and my role as an elder brother that I let it follow me to my dreams. I shrugged, shoving my hands into my hoodie pockets.

I looked up to the sky, which was still cloudy, due to the rain yesterday. It's been raining quite a lot lately. I felt the same uneasy feeling I had this morning when I woke up with a rushing heart and a panicked mind.

I felt like someone was watching me.

I had stopped walking and examined my surroundings. There was nothing much. Just trees, bushes, few birds and somewhat dry dirt. I guess it was just my senses being on edge. I shrugged it off and continued walking.

I heard a twig snap and some bushes sway near me causing me to jump a little. Okay, I'm pretty sure there's someone here. I stared at the bush that moved until I could hear repeated ticks that were played in no melody whatsoever. It sounded like a... clock?

At first, I thought it was my watch but my watch never made any noises. Not even when it's as quiet as right now. I started walking towards the bush, carefully.

I'm panicking for no reason. It's probably just a rabbit or something!

And I was right.

A white rabbit jumped out of the bush, causing me to jump back in surprise. The rabbit gave me one glance before scampering away.

"Jesus..." I let out a small sigh of relief. I continued walking down the small path through the woods. I noticed the rabbit staring at me from ahead. As I got closer to the rabbit, it hopped away, in the same panicked and hurried state it was in earlier.

I decided to follow it since everytime it ran, it was always waiting for me down the path.

It led me deeper into the woods, soon going astray from the path. And then I thought:

"Why the fuck am I following this rabbit?!"

The rabbit then jumped down a hole at the foot of a tree- probably it's burrow. Yep, I just followed a rabbit for no reason. As I examined the hole, I noticed that the opening was way too big for a rabbit. It was wide enough that a person could fall through. I stepped closer, close enough that I could see what was inside though far enough that I wouldn't fall through.

I crouched by the hole, peeking in.

I couldn't see much. Just dirt, dust and a whole lot of darkness. I squint my eyes as I thought I had seen a small twinkle in the darkness. There's something down there...?

Then- At that specific moment- I remember being pushed and falling into the abyss.
