Chloe's POV

Plop. Plop.

Heavy rain fell from the cloudy sky, creating small puddles in the cracks of the road. Covered in drops of rain, I stood outside the large grey door of Tyler's apartment. I gently pressed against the touchscreen to enter the first pin number. Feeling hesitant, I stopped in my tracks.

"I shouldn't do this" I whispered as I turned around and walked away

My brows frowned and my eyes followed the ground as I continued to walk. The sad tears of the sky sort of make me feel even worse than I already am. Why did I come here in the first place? It was a stupid idea.

Ring ring. Ring ring.

"What?! I don't think I heard you right. Say that again. You're kidding me. Okay, I'm coming now" I urgently hang up the phone and picked up my speed.

The call was from a co-worker of mine and she told me that Tyler had just visited my workplace, asking to see me.

I can't believe him. He's sick right now, he shouldn't even be going around in the rain. I bolted down a flight of stairs and hurried to my- what the?

"Tyler!" I yell out as I see him stumble up towards the stairs.

He looks up at me, realizing who called out his name and he smiles, "Chloe, I've been looking for you. I've missed-"

"Woah" I catch him in my arms as he falls forward, too weak to even stand.

With all of my strength, I tried to carry him back to his room. It was extremely difficult and I could hardly find the strength within my legs.

I gently placed him down on his bed and saw that his clothes were soaking wet.

He'll become worse if he stays in them. Ah! I don't want to change him though.

Sigh.

Tyler's POV

The muscles in my body felt stiff and I could hardly talk, let alone move. My eyelids felt tired and my throat was feeling so sore.

After a while, I was finally able to slightly open up my eyes and I saw a girl. I focused more closely and noticed that it was Chloe. She dumped a small towel into a bowl of water, folded it and placed it on my forehead.

"Chlo-" I started to have a coughing fit after I tried to call out her name.

"Don't talk. Lean against me, I'll help you get up" she hands me a bottle of water and says, "here drink this."

Gulp. Gulp.

"Why are you here?" I ask.

"Rest first, we'll talk later. I promise" she says as she brings the blanket up to my neck.

I nod, laying back down.

"What are you doing here and why did you lie about not knowing who I was?" I finally ask after I rested for some time.

"I heard you were sick and when I saw you, I didn't know how to react. It was so unexpected", she continues with, "Why did you try to find me? You're already sick so why did you go this far to find someone like me? Plus, you already have someone in your heart" her voice was full of sorrow

"What are you saying? I wanted to find you, you're the answer to all of my questions. First, I want to apologize to you for everything that I did. I'm sorry for hurting you, I'm sorry that I left you and I'm sorry for not seeing you before you flew to London" slow-rising tears formed in the corner of my eye, I covered my face with a pillow. I probably looked like such a sore loser, but I couldn't stop the urge to cry.
