"Hey loser! You'll never be like us! So why don't you just move to another school!?"
My brows furrowed and I turned around, facing these bullies. I never wanted to become noticed, I just wanted to stay here quietly. Here at East Bay College, 'where everyone is kind to one another and you are well respected', what a bunch of lies.
I was never respected at this school, nor are the students kind enough to help one another. This school should be sued for false advertisement!
"What do you want from me?" I stared straight into the eyes of Ethan Coswell, also known as 'the leader of the pack'.
"Oh, feisty, eh? We don't want anything from you. All we want is for you to move, you don't belong here! Look around, everyone here has friends and you don't!"
I rolled my eyes and as I turned around to continue walking to class, a girl walked past me, 'accidentally' knocking my books. That was Alexis Warren, one of the most popular girls in this school.
I bent down, collecting all of my books and pencils. Soon I felt someone kneeling beside me, lending a hand.
"Oi, Tyler! Why are you helping that loser?" said the voice of Ethan.
Who's Tyler Carson you may ask? He's a super popular boy at our school who is able to capture the hearts of everyone and not just the girls. He can play the guitar and sing- what a perfect guy- and the music that he creates makes girls weak to their knees. He is just so talented! Not only that, he is extremely good looking and could easily stop traffic.
But sadly, I had no chance of getting to know him. Why? Because I'm just Chloe, nothing more and nothing less.
"Ethan! You don't call people like that, maybe that's why you don't have a girlfriend!" Tyler said as he glared at Ethan. While the sun glimmered across his face, bringing out his sharp jawline.
"Thanks," said the small voice of mine.
"No worries, if you need any help next time, feel free to ask" he replied and a massive smile ran across my face.
I stood up with my books in hand and quickly walked away.
Music blared loudly from the large speakers just as I enter the classroom. English. Great, just great. I hated English class, it was so boring, our teacher taught the same thing over and over again. I never learnt anything in class. So I did what I usually do, listen to music to let time pass.
"Chloe Harper, when and why would we use a quotation mark? Hello? Are you even listening?!" I looked up, oblivious to what he had just asked me. I stared blankly at him, slowly taking out one of my earbuds.
"Sorry, what was your question?" I asked.
"Why don't you ever listen Miss Harper? I'll just ask somebody else."
Okay fine be that way, I don't even want to be in this class or even this school!
~~~
It was finally time to go home. I walked towards my locker and unlocked it.
"24, 18 and 7" I whispered.
As I got up from my locker and began walking, the duo came back to annoy me. I just wanted to end the week with no arguments. Well, that wasn't going to plan, again.
"Hey Chloe, isn't that bag heavy for you? Here let me take it!" then I felt my bag being yanked off my back.
"Give it back"
