My last two rants were kind of harsh so this is something funny to clear the air! - Non South Africans trying to understand us is actually hilarious.
Escepcially when we say: "Now Now."
Now means now but when I say now I really mean later. It makes perfect sense but they just can't seem to get it.
Or the famous word: lekker.
Don't ask me what it means cause I use it for so many diffrent things. If food is lekker it means it tastes good. When I say a activity is lekker it means its fun. Sometimes I just reply lekker when I'm to lazy to think of anything else to say. Lekkers can aslo mean sweets. See easy?
We braai not barbeque ok? Biltong and beef jerkey are not the same thing!
When you visit South Africa you wil expect to see: -Lion's -nature -no white people -grass huts And so on.
What you will see instead: - Old men who don't own shirts and a beer belly. - White and black people sorry to dissapoint. - Houses and towns once again sorry. - The only lions you'll see are in zoos/wildlife parks. - Probably a mad old lady cause you talked to her and didn't call her Tannie.
If your from America and you want to complain about Trump I'm sorry the spot for bad president has already been filled.
