Yes he was jealous, though he did not show it, for jealousy dislikes the world to know it

Lord Byron

By the end of the day I was exhausted. I had Chemistry again with Nathan, Sammie and Aimee but this time there was no time to mess around. We had the worst supply teacher in supply history and work to copy up. Nathan did manage to text me to meet him and the rest of the Horn boys at the gate so we could all go out somewhere and 'discuss' our music though.

Waiting at the gate with Sammie, Aimee, Tabby and Mel was awful. We were supposed to be meeting Nathan and band, but it was taking them a while to turn up. Adam wasn't with us yet either. He had said he would meet us because he needed to talk to some teacher about a bit of coursework that he'd been stuck on. This only added to my turmoil. I just kept thinking of Adam and if he was planning on telling Tabby...Or maybe she already knew.

It didn't look like she did, but to be honest, if Adam didn't want everyone else to know she would try not to look worried so that no one would ask how she was, would she not?

Suddenly, I could see them, in their little group, heading towards us. My heart began to thump, apparently attempting to tear through my skin.

I could only see their heads above the sea of caterpillars, but that was enough to be able to tell whether or not they were all as excited as Nathan had claimed they'd be. And they weren't. They seemed pretty neutral about the whole thing.

In fact, only Nathan and Ian were looking at all excited. And we all knew why Ian was happy. Nathan on the other hand was a bit of a mystery. What he had been saying in detention came to mind, but I pushed it away and pasted a smile on my face as they reached us. There was an awkward silence and one of the boys -I was sure it was Tony- coughed.

'U-um... Can we go?' Sam piped up.

'Where are we actually going though?' Aimee wanted to know.

'Hold on a sec!' Tabby said, holding up a hand. 'Adam's not here yet.'

'Adam?' Ian asked. 'There's another member?'

'He comes with but he doesn't actually play,' Sammie grinned, cheeks pink. Ian nodded, smiling at her.

Silence.

I peeked at Nathan. To my alarm, he was staring straight at me, a scary smile on his face.

Luckily, at that moment, Tabby sighed and announced that she could see Adam coming towards us, meaning me and Nathan's eye drifted apart and focused on where Adam was coming from.

'Hello,' Adam greeted us happily. That seemed to break the ice just slightly. Adam started talking to Tabby and Mel about something and I'm sure he knew Sam from somewhere so Sam and David joined in quite happily. Aimee joined in with Sammie, Ian and Tony, leaving me and Nathan behind.

Coincidence? I think not.

'Seriously Nathan,' I turned on him. 'I'm beginning to think you planned this.' He looked at me confused.

'Planned what?'

I laughed at the expression on his face, 'oh so now you don't hear my thoughts!'

He chuckled, 'I never hear your thoughts Sephy, you just happen to say them out loud.' I rolled my eyes.

'You're strange Sephy,' he began. I crossed my arms and opened my eyes wide, ready to deny it, when he leaned in closer to me, causing me to lose all trail of thought. 'But I like it...'
